I didn't know about this issue as I never use the video recorder and you're the first to ask. Does it work on any of the current ROMs?

As far as I know, none of the Slims has camcorder working. They have a work around by it's a hit and miss.

I started using the Shift kernel last night and so far it's pretty awesome. I used zzmoove in the past, and I'm happy to return to it now. Thanks a lot, @rogersb11.

I can't wait for the CM11 M11 build to be provided.

I had a lot of freezes with zzmove. If you get freezes that's what's causing it

I was using the default kernel but using the ART runtime and encountered freezes with it, so I switched back to Dalvik and went fine for a short while before I switched the kernel to Shift.

Regarding your experience with zzmoove, what profile were you using? Also, were they freezes during normal usage or SODs? Or both?

I tried them all except for the high performance/gaming stuff and they stuck my phone 100% of the time. Some SOD some just freezes. I gave up on zzmove. For kitkat Roms I've found ondemand to be the most battery friendly, stable, and lag free governor available. These phones are quirky though. What's great for one might suck for another. It's just trial and error...which is fun ?

Thanks for the info. So I encountered the first issue with zzmoove this morning while I was driving to work. I noticed that music audio stutters and pops often and noticeably and sometimes between the transition from screen on to screen off. I switched back to pegasusq and it immediately fixed the problem. I will continue experimenting with the different zzmoove profiles. If all exhibit the same problem, I might just switch back to pegasusq or ondemand. Sorry, I know this is not the right thread for the Shift kernel. I can post these observations in the appropriate thread if it's helpful.
