Really cool.

slimsaber bootanimation...

since i made the official bootanimation for slimkat,
i decided to create similar one for our slimsaber roms... ;)

also available in other holo colors (green, orange, purple, red) plus white

rename the file you downloaded into bootanimation.zip and put it in your /system/media

you may want to rename existing one so you have a backup of the original bootanimation before replacing with the new one

caution:
it might drain your battery if you keep on rebooting your phone all the time just to see the bootanimation :p

download

preview
second part was "fade in and out", that's the part that loops till boot

Thank tou for the awesome boot animation, i don't why id this so not popular in n7000 this is the best. It's ahead of other 4.3.1 rom out there really great, thank fusionjack!

thanks for the feedback.
probably the term "sabermod toolchain" is new for n7000 community. afaik this term existed originally for nexus community.
actually i have already started building with sabermod toolchain since 3-4 months ago for both i9100 and n7000, but mainly for i9100 since imo there is more active users in i9100 community and simply it also needs process to reach this state of the build.
until last 2 weeks, i have courage to share this build with you all...:fingers-crossed::D

add mirror into existing halted download in FDM

For all those guys who are having trouble with goo.im :p

here is the trick I follow to download, its sad that even 120Mb file is not able to download and it does not allow to create any further parts to finish download. I tried to download it almost 6-7 times and used to get halted. Once it halted at 99% :crying:

I use freeDownloadManager to download this ROM, but even though there are resume facilities in FDM and Goo.Im it's not working properly, so what I do is,

add a mirror in download properties of the existing halted download.
to do so, again start the new download in chome, quickly go to chromes show all Downloads or press CTRL + J
and copy the newly generated URL, simply copy this URL and add it to FDM's halted download by right clicking and going into its properties

this has worked for me, from the moments Goo.Im started having bad moods,
I am not sure this works with dev-host.

In simple words, just start a new download, go to all downloads in chrome, grab new URL and paste it into download properties and it works fine

Hope it helps

Got 2 'Sleeps of Death' on my first day on this ROM :crying: (yes I full-wiped from TWRP/OMNI 4.4, everything else seems fine except for these painful SoDs)

Would you like a dmesg and/or logcat? Or is this kernel known to be problematic? I used yesterday's nightly, should I switch to the one released a week ago or is it the same kernel? I don't mind going back to a few weeks old build, I just love the speed+stability of this ROM, experimental 4.4 builds aren't for me.

the stock kernel is known to be very stable. make sure you are using stock kernel.
which operation have you done before you get SOD? and by SOD you meant that you cannot wake up your device from a deep sleep right?

I think he meant that there are times that it turn off and can't open/ turn on unless you take out the battery from device and rest for 5 minutes ... It happened twice for me

By stock do you mean the 'stable' kernel from GeeckoDev? The r4 version? Because I didn't flash any other kernel.

you can just hold the power button for 10 seconds and the rom should be rebooted.

Exactly this.
like kroz mentioned, it is the slimkernel. i never had sod for months with stock kernel both on i9100 and n7000.
if you use custom kernel before, it is possible that the rest of that kernel still reside in the rom which could cause issues. some users have habits to flash kernel clean script to eliminate this possibility before flashing the rom.
which governor and i/o scheduler are you using?

edit: there was a problem with random freezes if you are using zzmoove governor for n7000, but i have already removed this governor for n7000.
