Alright.. I love this Amazing ROM but i did a small mistake and i would really appreciate some help here.. I was using MIUI Vengeance Note and Forest Kernel..

First i flashed RAW Kernel wipe cache partition and everything and i restarted Recovery, and i asked you will lose root access wanna fix?.. I accidentally selected no and now i don't have root access in my phone but the superuser is there..

Is there any way to root my phone without going back to my stock rom?.. Pleas help me out guys..

Thanks a lot in advance :)

you probably don't activate root in developers options. slimkat is using superuser, so it is correct if you see superuser. :)

Thanks a lot for your reply man..

Ok i downloaded a app called " Root Checker " to see if have root access and it said i dont have root access!.. Also many apps which required root access wasn't able to obtain root access.. So i downloaded the latest " Supersu " from chainfire and flashed it via recovery and Voila now i have root access! :) The inbuilt superuser doesn't work since supersu has took over root permissions and i think only superuser application can be active at a time.. Anyway all is fine now! :)

Btw i used the inbuilt navigation bar and i see a slight teeny bit of delay in execution when i select home, back or recents button but its not that big of a problem.. Just thought of asking ya and is there any settings or something like that to decrease the execution time or something?..

Thanks a lot in advance :)

how big is the delay? mine is just fast. in samsung rom, the home button delay is caused by samsung voice recognition. not sure if there is such an app that uses home button to activate something. so check what app could do like that.
i am trying to do a fresh install but the TWRP won´t let me to install the Kernel, is that because i don´t have the recovery ?, if so can anybody help me ?, txs
if you are flashing kernel, you are also flashing recovery and vice versa. reinstall the rom and you'll get back the twrp and stock kernel.

First off, love this rom. Got a Note just for fun actually. My daily is LG G2. Been running this rom for weeks and it is awesome. The most recent nandroid backup I have is the 7/13 build and it is flawless. It is the second or third that I flashed after just wiping the cache. The 7/16 unroots the device. I tried several things to get root back and the only thing that works is a full wipe including factory data reset; then restoring the 7/13 nandroid backup. I think it seems strange that simply restoring the backup gets root back. The phone is also recently unlocked. Any ideas? I could live without the updates and enjoy the 7/13 forever - as I said this is a "for fun" device for me. Thanks for this great build.
edit: solved. had to turn on root in developer's options. just not sure why it would turn off on the update to 7/16 when I had updated it successfully a couple or three times before without that happening.

SlimSaber-n7000-4.4.4-20140721.zip

Changes:
  • Sync with weekly 6.6
  • Android 4.4.4_r2
I'm pretty sure this'll make you happy, although nothing is changed on our device...lol. :D
  • Some updates on frameworks/base and frameworks/av
  • Kernel: Compiled with latest SM 4.9.1
  • Kernel: Disable DEBUG_KERNEL
  • TWRP: Track backup and restore progress
  • TWRP: Implement "take a screenshot" feature
I think the sdcard needs to be mounted. Tried before without mounting sdcard and screenshot is not saved.
  • See changelog for the rest of changes
omg! i forgot the important thing...changing the build id to KTU84Q :D:D:D
Tips for black background issue: Use 4.4.3 gapps
