All good here after dirty flashing as well, and I had SuperSu icon just after flashing.

The only issue I had is that TiBu wasn't able to reainstall my apps from sd automatically - probably because of root access changes - but that is not a big problem, I had just reinstall them manually.

I'm on omni rom asylum 4.2 and as those seem to be similar, I wonder if I can follow the install instructions for 'unofficial build' or even dirty flash?

better do a full wipe...there could be some similar settings in the ui. if they use the same setting name but if its value is stored with different type, you'll get fc here and there.
therefore it is always better to wipe data and system if you coming from other rom.

@fusionjack

Somebody in German n7000 thread told me, that backup tool for gapps is not working after dirty flashing newest build and that gapps have to be installed again!?

Regards

check if the gapps backup script is still in /system/addons.d
it is important to not format the system before flashing rom. if you do this, all backup scripts are gone and you need to re-flash gapps because nothing will be backed up.

Prior to installing 07/26 build I had SuperSU ZIP flashed manually. After flashing 07/26 SuperSU was available but did not work properly (progress circling infinitely). Reflashing SuperSU on top solved it.

it is not the question whether the supersu app is there or not...but whether the root in developer options is enabled or not.
i don't recommend flashing supersu zip together with integrated supersu in the rom. the root daemon will be mixed. [emoji17]

OK, Sorry, overlooked that setting. Reflased SlimKat dirty, enabled Root in DevSettings. It asked me to update the binary and reboot. I did so. All fine.

Related questions: if there is a SuperSU update on Play, shall I update? Do I assume correctly that updating to SuperSU 2.02 is not possible now since Chainfire only privides ZIP for now?

Please add some notes to the start post on "What (not) to do with SuperSU in SlimSaber".

CM theme engine?

Hey mate @fusionjack Just a simple question, Sorry if it bothers..

Since the new cm theme engine is more stable now, is there any possibility that we could have cm theme engine in slimsaber in future?

it shouldn't be problem to update supersu from play store. i'll keep supersu in the rom up to date.
it is actually ok to flash supersu zip since it is the same content anyway...but afaik, the zip file will put a script in init.d to start root daemon and the rom has different way to start the root daemon...it doesn't matter from which way the root is started, at the end the root is working.
that's why i just don't recommend it, not to forbid. :)

@fusionjack or anyone with the right knowledge.

Im about to do a clean flash...
Should i repartition my FS to something different than stock ?
Any advantages?

TIA
obviously S-2 here and i've messed up my storages yesterday .....[emoji90][emoji90]
so....I want to use NTFS for internal sdcard....would that work
...?...
you can use exfat, but not ntfs. slimroms doesn't support ntfs. i could add ntfs support. @rkoby13: the reborn version support ntfs.
