Hello,
I had a problem connecting phone to car bluetooth. It connects sucessfull, but when bluetooth car tries to Access to phone contacts, phone shows a message asking permission for this, as others rom do. I accept, but car can not read contacts and obvisouly I can't select a contact and also names are not shown on car screen.
Others rom Works perfectly. I thinks it could be a kikat security problem. Is is posible?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Miguel

You won't loose **S-Pen** functionality. You will loose ability to run **S-Note** app as it relies on TW framework. I use Papyrus as a replacement and it feels like writing on paper! It's that smooth thanks to KK.hi. iv been on a tw based rom since i first got my note 2 years ago lol. but i am really bored of tw. from what iv seen slimsaber rom is the best aosp cm rom out. i just want to know what do i loose going from touchwiz to slimsaber? like i know i will loose spen functionality.
Hi Fusionjacki have uploaded a new build...i'll make summary tomorrow. dashclock is removed again. it looks like some users have trouble using it.

Thanks for your answer. I am trying Mokee ROM and bluetooth Works Ok. But now I return to a previous problema: camera storage at internal SD. However an user gave me a solution. I installed xposed framework and pictures2SD module, which changes camera storage to external SD.Hi miguelidanez,
I have the same problem with my Parrot Bluetooth hands free car kit. Which is quite old.
In my case, it happens the same with all Android 4.4.2 ROMs that I have tested, except with the Mokee ROM.
So, I tried to replace the Bluetooth APK file with the two Bluetooth APK files from Mokee. Obviously, without success. :crying: But, I had to try.
Since my point of view, SlimSaber is the quickest 4.4.2 ROM. But I need the hands free running correctly.
So, if anybody has any idea of how to solve this problem, please, let us know.
Thanks in advance.
well of course if your internal app storage is full (because you have a lot of apps) this will work because you are installing to the internal SD card nowSo guys, this might be a little off topic (to the last 2 - 3 posts) but thought this could help someone who gets stranded here. Have been on slimrom / slim saber or a slightly tweaked version of slim saber for a good part of the last couple of months. Upgraded to the latest 4.4.2 27.01.2014 release day before. Had installed facebook from an earlier backup - flawless. That's when a friend sent me an updated version of facebook (he's an FB dev). Tried to install - failed, uninstalled the earlier version of FB, and then tried to install - got an "Insufficient Storage Space" error.
Searched around, someone suggested to remove data\Lost+Found tried - no luck. Eventually this is what solved the problem for me ...
1. Install Link2SD from the play store - and in settings change all installs to "Automatic"
2. Install SD Maid from the play store (I have a paid version) - clear corpse, and do a complete App Cleaner run.
Reboot deviceand boom the installation errors I was facing was suddenly resolved. Can other users who face this validate this ?
Cheers

with swap storage feature, you can use your external sdcard to be used for internal storage. therefore you have a plenty space rather than the normal 11 GB internal storage.no. 6 says switch external storage

i don't have bluetooth on my car, so i can't test it. based on @HardCorePawn posts here, the bluetooth connection to the car should work. whether it can show your contacts or not, i'm not sure:Hi Fusionjack
is that true that I couldn´t use bluetooth connection with this ROM e.g. with my car?
Thanks
manually installing app could cause some problems, especially between official and unofficial version of an app or if you are using an app to patch another apps to remove ads or keys.So guys, this might be a little off topic (to the last 2 - 3 posts) but thought this could help someone who gets stranded here. Anyway to enable call recording here ? Tried to check through the xposed repository - but secphone does not seem to be used here.

it could be that our rom is still missing some bluetooth protocols. as far as i can remember, in 4.3 i have some cm bluetooth commits applied additionally to slimroms.
ic...probably the phone book access is not implemented yet in slimkat. i'll do a research this weekend...:fingers-crossed:Hi fusionjack,
Thanks for your answer.
Incoming calls works fine with the bluetooth of the car. The problem, at least in my case, is only with the contacts list, which is empty. So, I can not do any call.
Does you know if it is posible to solve it replacing any APKs from a CM11 ROM (like Mokee)? Or does you know any other easy solution?
Thanks again fusionjack.
most probably never...Hoping to see Halo soon in slimsaber....if not in slimkat??

No, it is not shown the phone book in the display of the Bluetooth hands free car kit. Neither with this ROM, nor other 4.4.2 ROMs that I have tested. Except Mokee (CM11).ic...probably the phone book access is not implemented yet in slimkat. i'll do a research this weekend...:fingers-crossed:
edit: actually, it is there. phone book access should work...
