The Exynos Bug for Sdcard hang present in this ROM also. Copy multiple files from Ex SD to SD Ok, Cut from SD to Ex SD freeze. You may compile storage fix to this ROM may it increase stability. But I tested last storage fix patched ROM in Asylum in my first try it was good but in my second try also got freeze problem. However it's worthy to try.

Edit ; I talk about this bug.

Same thing happen to mine too. No need multiple file, just 1 large size file will hang. For instance. I tried copying the ROM zip file from internal storage to sdcard using es file explorer. The app hang. Using other file manager app also having the same problem.

i think that is known problem since jb on our devices. some said that changing i/o scheduler other than ROW could fix it.
this usually only happens if transferring from pc to phone. until now i didn't experience transfer hanging problem from internal to external although i transferring some of GB files.

Can you compile the storage fix in the next build. I've hope that will increase read/write stability.

@fusionjack, I did tried to format the sdcard. Doing full wipe.... It success for the first time. After that, the same problem occurs again. There is no other app installed besides whatsapp.

had the ROM flashed a couple of hours ago. GPS/Location is Off and WIFI always on during sleep is also Off but my device is not going to deep sleep. Had a look at BBS and i do not see any app causing the phone to not sleep as there are no wakelocks/partial wakelocks causing high usage. Media scanner not showing in battery usage as well. I was using DU ROM before and have the same apps and im getting deep sleep fine. what could it be? any idea Dev? Thanks for this ROM by the way.

In my first installation mine was also like that. I reinstalled it is fine. Try clean install and make all wipes with raw kernel.

build 02/12 has already storage fix by slimroms, some said it fixed music stopping bug, some said it doesn't. omnirom has different solution, but it looks like it is also not working?
as i tested 02/12 build, i can play music for more than 1 hour. so perhaps for the one that still has the problem, the storage partition is corrupted. as i see in most logcat that user posted, there was partition corruption.

Just moved and copied a load of ROM.zips back and forth and it worked.

For partition corruption only solution AFAIK is wiping everything or installing stock ROM with Odin and also reformating sdcard with mini tool partition wizard.

It's better I wipe everything with Odin flash and build from scratch. I also tested in carbon kitkat rom results same. There some mess in the codes.

Attach carbon rom test freeze;

formatting partitions in recovery should be enough. you can also try to check partition for error like in the faq.
you can also try to transfer files in recovery, mount them as ums. someone said he didn't have problem in recovery.

I have been using the latest build since 14th feb. and today I had a system halt when i was browsing the internet. I had to pull out the battery and reinsert to start the phone again. And when the phone booted, i had lost 20% battery. I cannot recreate the problem though.

Glad you solved it...
This is what i do when installing new build:

-Advanced Wipe (select: system,cache,dalvik cache)
-Flash ROM
-Flash GApps
-Flash SuperSu (optional)
-Reboot

I never have any problems and if i do i manually wipe/format everything and start again from stratch (no restoring anything)
