Yes. I did dirty flash didn't notice any performance side effects . The most I liked in this version is settings of adjusting cpu clocks.

great ROM as always fusionjack, just one request if you don't mind, the special characters on the keyboard seems to be a bit dark to the point that it is almost unnoticeable when using TRDS. is it possible for you to change it to a lighter color say, blue or white? don't want to use any other keyboard besides the stock one but its a bit difficult to see those characters. hope you consider it on the next build. thanks again!
+1... I do have to bring the phone closer to my eyes to see these characters. Thanks in advance @fusionjack

Make the screen brighter maybe?joke :p Its black on grey. I can see it perfectly. Its meant to be unintrusive as it is i supose.
I would prefer a darker keyboard instead but its down to Slim Team to change that and its difficult to please everybodys taste.
Kroz is the one in charge of the theming. You have to ask him afaik. Unless FJ has an older keyboard liying about that you can change too.

Hello fusionjack, thanks for this great rom. One question: What do you think about Lockscreen-Notification?
what it that?

ask @kroz, i know nothing about theme stuff. :p

Now I made many customizations in lock screen, tiles, nav. bar etc. when I change the Rom I have to build these settings from beginning. Is there any way that I save my settings and restore them after fresh install.
GT-N7000...
the settings should be preserved like in my case with dirty flashing.

what it that?
An awesome feature that let's you see your notifications on your lockscreen without going to the notification center.
I found this video with a quick search:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i12WuauSkI
It might not be the best video demoing it, sorry about that.
It would be awesome if you could implement it :fingers-crossed:

A test kernel with 2 pacthes from Gustavo kernel that found by Entropy512 in this post that probably could address the sdcard fuse deadlock problem.

d43dbc47dbd16efeb555eafb2236d8d1 SlimKernel_v4.2.22-n7000-signed.zip

Additional changes to the SlimKernel:
Thanks to Gustavo_s and Entropy512. :good:

Note: It is intended that I put the kernel on this post as attachment instead on my goo.im to avoid people just downloading without reading. I'll also link this post in 3rd post.
The version v4.2.22 means 2014.02.22.

no problem...which rom feature is it? i mean the original one, not the kanged one. :p
It exist in Carbon, Dirty Union maybe in Asylum Kitkat versions I think only I didn't see this feature in slimsaber :). If you can add lock screen blur effect with lock screen notifications slimsaber become a solid master piece of all in Kitkat Roms.

Well if I'm not wrong judging by ROM topics here on XDA and G+, it's originally from AOSPAL.
This is their GitHub:

EDIT: I don't really know what's needed for porting a feature from another source, but I found these, so I'm gonna share them anyway.

https://github.com/AOSPAL/android_frameworks_base/commit/28b138fb985bdcf80bccb8c1bb0fb714be98f1d9
The second link is probably the important one.

i saw omnirom also port it, it is still under review. the code size is medium. porting medium feature additionally to the official slimkat is not good, so i'll think it again.

whats the meaning of code size medium? didnt understand it :p

I have another feature request,
can we have some dedicated switch or settings menu,
which can turn off WiFi while the screen is off? :fingers-crossed:
it saved lots of battery, although, I don't remember if we had it in JB ROMS

(we can use tasker like apps for it but integrated into the ROM would be gr8)

how much the existing code are changed or new code are added or how many areas are being touched. so that feature is a medium size feature.
beside not all devs are good in coding. the feature is working but it could be not optimal in term of performance and memory.

you can set that in wifi advandced settings.

After every reboot i have "App optimization"
What the reason could it be?
app optimization is creating dalvik caches. they are created in data partition.
if by every reboot, you see app optimization, it means that the dalvik caches are not there anymore. probably due to partition corruption or something else. i'm afraid you need to do a full wipe, but try first to wipe only cache and dalvik cache.
