SlimSaber-n7000-4.4.2-20140603.zip

Changes:
  • Using memory optimization flag. Credit to AOSPAL
  • SlimRecents: Option to show topmost task
Options can be found in settings accessibility
  • Launcher3: Hotword: More ding-dong fixes
  • App2SD: Moving applications to an external volume
Due this feature is still disabled on our device, moving app is now completely impossible. Don't use this build if you really need to move apps.
  • See changelog for the rest of changes

At the next build are we going to be able to move apps to external SD?

Have you waited at least 5 minutes after booting?
Did you disable media scanning behavior?

Thumbnails are automatically generated, just go to gallery then press menu and refresh.

Or trigger media scanner by opening "dev tools" app > media provider > scan sd card

Running 0522 Sabered SlimKat | DorimanX 10.43v111
I've forced it via an app. Can't find the option you have gently suggested.

Right now i've checked internal sd fat errors, recreated the media cache and moved the external sd to exfat :p

I'll report if i'll trap again in this orrible issue :)

Thanks all for now

This morning I've found my phone completely turned off with zero battery and it was under charge!
I've disconnected the power cord and rebooted with another wall adapter.
It booted up fine.
Later on i checked it and it was at 98% of charge.
I went away for one hour and I've found it again powered off! I've checked battery charge and it is now 88%
What could cause this behaviour?
PS I'm now writing from the phone which is working as expected.

this is what i could think of:
sdcard fuse bug -> media scanner stuck -> app/service hang -> cpu run at the highest freq ->
  • system not responding (it looks like phone is off) OR
  • temp too high -> system shutdown
-> powering on phone -> full gauge bug -> battery percentage dropped (it is only cosmetic)
so...yes, our old-with-hacked-kitkat-support device has too many problems once your phone caught into sdcard fuse bug.

I've moved to exfat the external sdcard some days ago and i've clered and re-made the mediascanner cache. Since this night no problems at all! No stuck apps etc etc!

Could be this exfat migration that cause the problem?
Do you have a smart way to regenerate the mediascanner cache?

Thanks for your gently support

When the phone stops to auto rotate which daemon should I kill to restore the functionality?

No daemon.. Only SystemUI.. But killing this process could lead to bad effects, such as constant fc from systemui then you have to reflash the rom to fix it.

Doing a reboot oftenly solves the problem..
