NO! You'll end up hard bricking your device.

Yes, you need to flash gapps.

Have you tried these gapps:

Use Minimal Edition as other versions will cause problems.

After flashing minimal addition Gapps all Google related issues solved.
And if u r not getting word suggesting Feature in keyboard then download language first in keyboard settings and try again.

Forgot to mention one more bug I found, the audio recording app doesn't work. It says: ''not enough free space'' when I tap on it (and ofc there is more than enough free space both on the sd and the phones internal memory). A small and unimportant bug in my opinion, you could remove the app in the next build if you don't have the time to fix it.

Use a Theme else change it in apk. As simple as that.

Did you update the app? It works for me after updating it.

Also the OTA updates I feel like I have an officially supported device by Sony
The speed is also great, I remember the Z1 apps on ICS they had damn slow opening time but there the opening times are acceptable :good:
So far I've found 3 issues, 2 of them are mango specific:
1. Sliding out keyboard doesn't force rotate the screen. This could be an issue with some Sony elements, since it's like this on many Sony-styled ROMs.
2. The slide-out keyboard has no backlight. When I try to set it in settings, there isn't even a switch for backlight of how keyboards. Interestingly, in the settings it lights up, but after that it remains without lights.
3. The onscreen Xperia keyboard just doesn't come up. I have to use he keyboard or a 3rd party keyboard app (untested).
Other then these three issues, the ROM is really cool, I recommend it to everyone

EDIT: Actually, found 1more issue: I tried to play a video in movies app. The sound was always at maximum, no matter, what I set. This was an issue also with walkman, and it could be fixed by editing a file.

@sud.vastav What about loudness?

EDIT2: disabling sound enhancements fixes the loud sound, but it could be still fixed. Or am I the only one experiencing this?

Not two but actually all of the three issues that you mentioned here are mango related.
Mango is different from other three MDPI devices as it is the only one to have H/W keyboard. I think I can fix the issue but I'm not sure... I'll soon push an mango only OTA to test the fix. Till then disable H/W keyboard to enable/use on-screen keyboard.

I just visited the download link for V4 for coconut and the size of the available zip is just abou tof 50 MB .. is it fine ???
I dont think so cause it should have been over 200MB.
and if it's alright do I have to download and install the V3 first to update to V4??

First of all awesome rom Takes much tym to boot very much tym Also pls send me kernel via mail as wobzip not working and i am low on data (pls i am begging u send me kernel via mail @ [email protected]).
Settings force closed when tap on tiles and layout.
Ota problem as update available but error on download screenshot attached.
Status bar am pm option not found battery icon option not working.
Nice speed avg battery. Thumbs up.
Pls solve these minor issues.
