What is AOKP?

AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.

We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).

With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.

1. Install CWM recovery
2. Do a Nandroid Backup!
3. Wipe data/factory reset if coming from another ROM or version of AOKP
4. Install the ROM using ClockworkMod Recovery
5. Optionnaly Install the Google Apps

Note: The partition layout of AOKP is identical to that of CM10/CM10.1 and thus you may use CWM to backup/restore.

You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.

I am using this rom after release. First impressions is god, but i have a one problems, wi-fi is poor (old AOKP max wifi speed, speed with this release is much slow), PPP Widget 2 not working, and ES file explorer networking have a problems. Old AOKP release works fine with wi-fi or network but i have problems with memory (needed 1 day reboot).
