Thanks :) . Any idea about the solution to the problem mentioned above ?
First, boot your phone to offline charging. Then boot to system. Everytime you'll want to reboot, turn off and on phone instead. It's a temporary solution, but it shouldn't drain anymore.

Ok I just came to know about this new ROM.

I have been using LXP CM based rom from 1-2 years now.

Now I am interested in trying this.

  1. Is it atleast as stable as LXP CM11 rom?
  2. I see installation process is same as LXP, does it mean there is no need to repartition?
  3. Do I need to format / wipe data? I will prefer that I dont have to do that but dont mind if absolutely necessary.

Thanks in advance.

AOKP hardware repos are tracked from CM directly, stability should be pretty much the same.

We use the same kernel sources here, meaning there is no need to repartition.

I'm not sure about wiping data as I have never tried what you are describing.

Thanks for instant reply!

Is MP3 hardware decoder enabled? Because I do not see this file:

system/lib/libOmxMp3Dec.so

And I also dont see these lines in system/etc/media_codecs.xml

Code:
<MediaCodec name="OMX.qcom.audio.decoder.mp3" type="audio/mpeg">
          <Quirk name="requires-global-flush"/>
</MediaCodec>
PS: Yet to install ROM - I am just comparing CM11 rom and AOKP rom zip file

Audio play not smooth

I have been using AOKP, CM11, Carbonrom etc (all 4.4) for some time now to test the roms and find any bug to help as much as I can. All of those roms seems stable enough for daily use with optimal performance.

But there is one problem I found in music playback.
While playing a song if the screen is/gets locked, music playback continuity seems to brake. So I face very small (I mean really small but noticable) pauses if the screen is locked while playing a song.

This happens if I use Apollo, Walkman or Google Play Music (Basically any player that works with Walkman Button on my LWW wt19i)
But If I use apps like TTpod, Winamp, PowerAmp etc then this problem is not found.

All these roms are great but This is the only problem I found. :angel:

Guys, I just installed it on a Sk17i (mango) and I got no WIFI, it doesn't turn on, I downloaded the latest nightly.

I downloaded and installed build 2014-07-31 and it won't boot, got on reboot loop and CWM won't come up anymore.

I'm holding volume down or up and power and it's not entering in CWM or fastboot anymore, what can I do?

Hi, I'm slightly confused about the commonalities with CM. The link to the installation guide is for LegacyXperia, which references CM, so I'm assuming it's the same - i.e. No ANT+, FM Radio, HDMI, - can anyone confirm its the same for AOKP?

The CM "what's not working/not working" list doesn't mention pressure sensor/barometer support for Active/ST17i. Does anyone know if AOKP has this working? Thanks

The working/not working list is the same between all 4.4 ROMs - you are right, that means ANT+, FM & HDMI aren't working.
Pressure sensor/barometer is not listed because nobody has tested it so far to report if it's working and I don't have that device to test myself. Kernel & userspace support for bma180 sensor is present so it should be working. If you test it please report back if it works.

Is there a way to know when a new version is released? And may be with changelog? I know there is changelog in OP but thats too detail (with all commits) plus includes newer changes as well. (which may not be there in latest release)

So I would like to know till what point changes are included in the released version. A summary would be highly appreciated.

Good ROM

Hi,
I Installed the june release nightly ROM on my LWW. Good ROM working like MIKE's another ROM(LX).
But, surprised that, no default music player is available in fresh install. Suggest me good, free music player.
