Is it at all possible to have a build of slimkat made for an xt908 razr on a small local cell company called thumb cellular? Its almost the same as the xt912 Version and uses Verizon's towers I do believe just if I use the xt912 version of slimkat cant get data and MMS.

Tried adding some thumb cell files over the Verizon files(porting would be a better way to put it) but can't get MMS to work. Thank you

(Edit) I also have a working cm11 rom, just doesn't get updated very often but a generous user on a different site if that would help any.

Sent from my xt908 cm 11 blacked out

I suppose you might just need to add apns for your network - one for data and one for mms. Their configuration should be described somewhere on your cell company's website.

I believe I tried that a few months ago to no avail. I will give it another try and report back but I do know that the guy who makes a working build for us has to make it from source. Told me how but I don't have the skill or fast enough internet to download all the required files. We have had trouble with roms since the phone was launched. I don't know the technical information to be honest but this guy made cm11 possible just nothing else and I'm ready for a change lol.

(Edit)
apn change resulted in no internet.
port attempt results in bootloop.

This ROM works best for me. Only one issue: My wifi does not connect itself automatically. If i enable Wifi and my Router is in range, i have to enter Settings -> Wifi and then the phone starts connecting.

I've been using this rom for a couple of weeks now, and I was very happy with the stability and performance, but extremely disappointed with the battery life. On BlueAndroid i was getting 3 days on a RAZR MAXX (with new OEM battery), and about 1 day on this rom.
Rather than blaming it on the rom, or Kernel (both stock and JBX), I thought I would look into it.

Android's battery usage reported that wifi was consuming more than 50% of battery life.
BBS had the wakelock "rx_wake" consuming 20% of CPU time, both awake and not.

So I changed the baseband from the chinese one (U_04.10.03P which is an ICS baseband?), to the EU JB baseband (from OTA 982.124.14), and now the "rx_wake" wakelock consumes about 10 mins per 24 hours, rather than 5 hours per 24 hours.

Given the rate of discharge I am seeing, the phone is back on track for almost 3 days of usage, which is great.

This is all on the stock kernel. I will change back to JBX once the battery has gone through a discharge / charge cycle, and hopefully battery performance is the same / better.

I hope this helps anyone else experiencing this wakelock issue on their RAZR with KitKat.

Hi,

Could you please share the link for the EU JB Baseband that you used?

This is really weird. I seem to be getting LTE (I'm on PagePlus which doesn't allow LTE) and no 3G like I usually should. It also tells me to sign into the Verizon network. Will provide screenshots in a bit.

HiFi

Hi guys!!! This ROM is excelent, I have been using it since I got my RAZR, and Im very pleased with its performance and stability. But currently I have been experiencing some weird behavior with the wifi. It looks like I´m connected, but the moment I try to go to the Play Store (after a full wipeout and clean install) to download my apps, it says that I don´t have internet connection. The same happens when I try to log in to Facebook, Twitter and almost everything but Google Chrome. What could be the problem? How can I help solving it? Thank you guys.

EDIT: Don't know if this was related to a recent outage in Android's Google Services or the problem with the wifi that was present before and was fixed with wifical.sh, but now everything is working. Thank you guys.

Any Tips on improving battery life on latest 5.0 build running latest jbx? I'm currently using greenify and battery friend but I'm a bit disappointed with battery performance.

I suggest you don't use JBX. I get better life without it on any ROM lately. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but you seem to see the same results I did. It seems to drain the battery way faster no matter how I tweak the settings. That seems opposite of what it should do. The kernel in stock SlimKat is great on battery life.

How can I apply this fix using safestrap?

You can't - Safestrap doesn't support flashing firmware. You need BMM for it.

I haven't used BMM so I wouldn't know how to probably. I was running the latest build of liquid smooth but I was having Bluetooth and battery drain problems. So I went back to cm11. Then I found this ROM, and I'm glad. Its somewhat of a combination of liquid smooth and cm11.

Any way in the next build to incorporate pocket mode into the ROM? And also a clear all for recent apps.

Don't bother,
After a few days of 2+ days of battery life on RAZR MAXX, it went back to barely 1 day, and that is with less than usual usage.
Back on stock ROM now (BlueAndroid), where I was getting 3+ days of battery life.

Shame though, really did like this ROM.

3 days? What kind of usage did you have on it? And where is blueandroid? And is it jb or kk?

It is a stock based JB rom, link is here.
3 days usage on RAZR MAXX, not regular RAZR
