Moved? I don't think so, but maybe. I do recall that in most other firmwares it's enabled from settings > developer options; but for slim, I enable it from settings > security.
Thanks! I found it. I guess i was having a moment there. Somehow i looked and looked in the right location but just didn't see it... Is 37 too young to have your first senior moment? Lol

2 questions, 1 of which is stupid I'm sure.

1.) (stupid question) How do I get my external SD Card recognized? I mounted it in recovery, nothing. I un-mounted it in recovery, nothing. And in the STORAGE section, the options to do this are not highlighted ever to mount/un-mount the SD Card? Help?

2.) While on Wi-Fi... there are little red up and down arrows with numbers next to them (in the staus bar/notification area), to small to see but I assume they are the up and download speeds. Can that get turned off?

Thanks guys!

There are no stupid questions.
These items sound like leftovers from another rom. I haven't seen red arrows beside the wifi icon, and I haven't had any issues with SD card recognition.

In your settings, go into the Status bar section, and see if there's something dealing with "Network Traffic" or somesuch... I thought there was something that showed up and down information.

Yeah I found the network traffic thing. That's good. Still nothing with my external sd card.

New issue. Battery life is atrocious! Off the charger at 100%. In my pocket for 5 hours, not touched, down to 60%! I am running this room stock. No different kernel. Ideas?

No one else is experiencing issues like these.

I suggest starting clean. Manually wipe /data, /system, & /cache partitions, then install slimsaber & slim GAPPS.

Enjoy the brilliance of slimsaber as the rest of us do.

That's what I did. I always wipe EVERYTHING! I thought there might be more to it that I didn't know about?

I'm in the process of pushing the custom linaro I use in my kernel which already includes all patches needed to make it work properly and to its fullest potential. Compiling combined SM and Linaro chains has some nice advantages. They really play well together. If you prefer to use linaro for rom instead I'll give you a different version. I usually build my own toolchain

I wiped everything 3x before installing the latest build. Battery seems to be much better. 3 hours off charger, lost 13%. That's a plus to me.

Also, what's the difference between SlimSaber and SlimKat?

Glad to hear that things are going better for you.

The "additions" mentioned in the OP are the most relevant differences in-between the two firmwares, but there have been many other features added by fusionjack along the way, that are not a part of slim. I don't have a quick reference to what all of them are, but other users are welcome to chime in with what they notice/remember.

I should go back through some changelogs and add the more notable ones to the OP.

I wiped everything 3x beefier installing the latest build. Battery seems to be much better. 3 hours off charger, lost 13%. That's a plus to me.

Also, what's the difference between SlimSaber and SlimKat?

I was coming here to tell him, battery life for me is off the charts solid, 8 days off charger, 1 hour of screen on time. I obviously don't use the phone that much but off charger is crazy crazy awesome on Slimsaber!!!! If you're having issues I would think it's another issue.

@fusionjack, I definitely appreciate the push-notice, There's no easy way for me to know when you're ready for me to build, and that was perfect... except that I damaged my build-box motherboard trying to help an associate recover hard-disk files. <-- But I'm back up and running as of yesterday!

For anyone's interest, if you really think your motherboard is done, then "cooking it" is worth a shot. 385F for 9 minutes worked for me!
