How do i check the version of my bootloader and radio?

More a question for Q&A. Radio .settings/about phone. Baseband version. Bootloader will be what ever the last stock version you had or the last version(bootloader) you flashed. Bootloader is not as a big deal as updating the radio.:)

I am using this rom for 1 day and performance is outstanding but there is a bug its me only or all when I increase volume and the safe headset volume . I press either of the option I get a soft reboot.. Options are 1. No,2. Ask later 3. Yes..
I am using latest radio and hellsdoctorR15 kernel.
With latest gapps stock variant. Thanks for the beautiful RoM ?

Can confirm and the fix suggested in Q&A (revert to stock theme) is not working to me that I have only stock theme and is not working even installing a different one just to try the fix.

In second place (clean install and PA stock kernel) I'm having a huge battery drain that with latest build didn't had. Just to make notice of it, probably you know it already. :)

Do i still need update bootloader and radio even if coming from 4.4-BETA1 4.4.2?

Performance are great, user experience is flawless and everything seems stable... Just why the heck does Android have to use all this power?

(PA 4.4 RC1 flashed after full wipe, kernel stock, GoogleNow disable, Location turned off)

Newest radio ends in 1.02, so yes would be prudent to update the radio. No need to update bootloader as will already be using the latest version.:)

Dear PA team, dear @molesarecoming,

I noticed you started to include the new CM11 theme engine in your ROMs, and knowing you were never the #1 supporters behind themes I applaud your decision to merge this.

However, if you do, you also need to merge several other changes into your source from CM which we themers asked for to the able to theme key apps such as dialer and contacts. Without these merges, we cannot support your ROM with our themes, as key components are missing. These changes were picked up by CM for older ROMs and carried over to 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 subsequently.

I get around 5 emails/day for people complaining to me that something in the dialer or contacts is wrong from PA users or people leaving bad reviews and I am a bit fed up with telling them to go back to you and reporting it which apparently they are not doing.

So I decided to make a last effort to get you guys up to speed and to consider:

1. Merging the relevant commits for DIALER
Most noticably these are the changes in styles and colors to remove some hardcoded values and allow applying holo themes.
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/e119e47cc8b22e4ca21bdf8e471466ede4207dcb

2. Merging the relevant commits for CONTACTS
Most noticably these are the changes in styles and colors to remove some hardcoded values and allow applying holo themes.
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/c90bd0c92d9049a5c47681ac9e9c00cbf1e9dbba

Without these commits, our themes look bad on PA, and cause issues that do not exist in CM, users are upset and we themers have to reply to emails from users stating these are PA issues - I really want to put a stop to this in the users interest.

Regards

Thyrus - I have asked my fellow themers to pitch in and support me here so you see this is not just a concern of mine but many themers/users out there!

@Thyrus @djdarkknight96

Yea, i'll take this myself. Will be in for RC2 :) We removed at the beginning dialer and mms due to wrong defaults set and 4.4.3 merge priority :)

Cheers, BigBrother1984

Hey guys, i have an annoying bug with paranoid, and it is here since android 4.3. After some time the long press on power button menu doesn't appear anymore... Only way to fix it is by restarting the phone.

Anyone else have this bug?

The back button doesn't work in any app or in the settings!!!! The google keyboard is getting FC all the time....
Back to 4.4 Beta1...
I had this as well mate. had to do a full wipe 3 times, 3rd time it worked for some odd reason. not the build we were expecting anyways.

I was one of first to state this in previous builds and was told it was my fault and my device, then others started reporting as well.

as a fellow themer with a large user base, this is paramount to good themer relations, and will reduce user churn on your Rom if they already have a theme they like but can't run.

im releasing a small revision update in a couple of minutes - just to keep the dependencies up to date. pie2 is a ***** to get right but its taking form. im working on this locally so as to not split it up into a million commits again - its easier for other roms to pick up then. i used a couple of days to experiemnt with displaying statusinfos like clock and notifications while pie is not shown but i always end up with something that either doesntlook right or it downright gets in the way of something.
the solution will be a new UI that we're building from the groundup, its called pie-strip. basically a very thin statusbar kind of thing that has pie activated by default. it displays clock, notifications, statusicons plus a ticker. it'll be just a few pixels wide. you'll be able to get to that UI via hybrid engine, systemUI will have a layout container for that, 2000p perhaps. the other UI's stay as they are, pie will also be usable in extended desktop mode of course. the 0% thing will probably go.
i can't say exactly how long but trust me i wanna get this out as fast as possible, its just a huge chunk of code right now.

i made a new build for today, looked like the one that was made when i was on vacation had audio trouble? i tested this one and it seems fine.
we'll also add maps to the gappspackage later.

its a bit quiet right now but we're basically planing our next move. the idea is to make a massive change in our lineup and the way we handle this rom. basically we'll devide the workload into categories: tools, core, optimization, gapps, kang and relations. 4.3 or whatever comes out will probably be the beginning of a new kind of PA, it'll split into a lean/slim version and others will supply a more feature-packed variant.

tools: we plan to fork our own tools for flashing, hoping that we can make flashing roms into something that doesn't scare away beginners. there will be tools, custom recoveries (in holo and without 10 million bull**** options), guides and we will provide things that are needed on top like radios, etc. work on OTA is almost completed aswell, it features delta updates, flashing is done by a click.

core: jesus, aaron, yamil and i will concentrate on features. that means rebooting them all: hybrid, pac, halo, pie and everything we have done basically. they'll change visually and the goal is to kill every - remaining - bug. goal here is to produce a google android extension that will feel like android-next without compromising stability. some new ideas are floating around as well, in our heads that is.

the other categories are clear i guess.

    biggest news is this, though:

the entire PA team will support current gen nexus devices. nothing else. that means designers, programmers, guys who do the optimizing, they all will get the same device. it will be fundamentally different from the usual approach where one guy gets to release a rom. we see it this way, if an entire family owns the same devices we really can create something awesome here, with dedication. as opposed to just releasing stuff broken or not to have a big device catalogue. not that we did that in the past, but legacy devices kind of got in the way and right now only jesus and I own the same device.

just a couple of scattered thoughts right now - we're discussing it day by day in our channels. in essence: we are tired of doing the rom-scene thing, we want a professional product.
