My phone has upgraded twice this morning 4.6-Beta3 (20141201) and then 4.6-Beta3 (20141202) both of which seem to have broken the Theaming Engine and the Notification bar show's no icons, or Settings buttons when I (try to) switch over to that section. Only way to get into the settings is by the App Drawer, then the Back/Home buttons don't work!.
Going back to 4.6-Beta2 for now!![]()
Same problem!! Disaster both versions on Nexus 4! Crash, reboot, and many lags. But they sure are Paranoid guys who will solve everything.

Even going back to Beta2 didn't repair anything!!It was almost a Brick... Very Borked!!
I'm back on KitKat Stock at the moment!![]()
I can assure you that beta 3 by itself did not cause these issues. Something in your setup caused them.
Perform a clean fresh flash.

No problem for mine, but i will proceed with a clean install to the next stable release.I installed 4.6-Beta3 (20141201) yesterday and I had no problems.
Although, I had performance issues previously after having made a dirty flash. A clean flash fixed the problem.

First disable immersive mode, second in Backup and Restore into Settings Menu reset Pie control preferences and try to enable immersive mode and make your choice.
ther's no pi, only immersive ! i enable it, it only makes the status bar and navigbar hidden, + if its anywhere i don't know how to change it's buttons or color!
+ google apps are blacki don't like this

Is there some kind of script that can automate all the post-ROM-install tasks (remove unnecessary stock apps, reactivate root access for apps that need it, etc.)? Updates are pretty frequent, which is great, but I find myself doing that menial cleanup more often than I'd like.
I know i can reset preferences from backup & reset but this time i am unable to switch recent apps view to old recents..
after resetting the preferences there is no option to select the option of card stack or old recents

also theres no hybird setting and other stuff, i feel like the old pa was better !
I already use Titanium, but it's still a pain to manually remove the apps every time, and I haven't found a way to automate it. I'll look into Tasker though. As everyone will be different in what apps and permissions they want back after a clean flash, I doubt it. But would be worth seeing what you can do, or looking on the interwebz, for what Tasker + Titanium back up can do for removing stock apps. Titanium is just what I would normally use to remove things like Google+ / Google play Games etc etc.
Permissions for root access with tasker, not so sure about.
You misread my post—I don't do a factory reset when I flash a new version, so all user apps and settings are kept. What's not kept are all the changes you need root access to make, which means stock apps I remove come back, and apps with root access have to be reset, and you do have to do it every time.you dont have to wipe the old system with every build, just flash it over the previous one - its the same rom so it should be fine more than not (that way disabled apps will remain disabled, given root permissions will remain given, app privacy and all other settings will also remain unchanged, so you wont need to do it every time)
