Lollipop is nice but the N7 can't handle it. Good to be back on a KitKat ROM.
Thank you for shearing this updated build. It made the N7 usable again ;)

Very glad to see this pop up. Our poor device just can't handle LP. At least after the first few days. Thanks for sharing, I'm restoring apps now and will report back after working with it a little while. :)

New build is up: omni-4.4.4-20151010-grouper
What's new: Security update (Stagefright 2.0 patches)
Enjoy!
If you haven't tried this Rom yet seriously give it a go. I have been on our tablets every day since installing it and it's awesome. On stock lollipop tablet was almost unusable.

Not sure if it matters how I did it but I went back to stock 4.4.4 then installed twrp, Rom, nano gapps, and su zip like I said prior. Try it!

Btw there was a fc on first boot only right when Rom started. After that it's been perfect.

I am not a fan of allf2fs roms as sytem is a read only partition. But for cache and data, it significantly improves performance on our low quality memory tablet. This prevents the tablet from becoming slower and slower after a few weeks of use. As you seem to have made some kernel improvement in your rom, it would be nice to have the possibility to use f2fs for cache and data. Personally, I flash a f2fs friendly kernel after installation but I would prefer not to have to.

I'm thinking of installing this since lollipop is a bit of a mess on the N7. I'm not finding any 4.4.4 kernels that support f2fs unless i'm missing something. what are you using/recommend?

I might add f2fs commits at a later stage. Though personally I never experienced a big difference between those two, as long as fstrim can do its job on a regular base. But I won't go into any deeper discussion about this here. ?
