Install favorite camera and gallery as user apps. I routinely trim them off ROMs.
Same for calendars, calculator, file managers, etc.

I manually installed the GappsLight, by copying files in respective folders in /system/ and all worked fine

Firmwares need to be certified for get released with Gapps included. So Gapps aren't included in AOSP custom firmwares

Plus the ROM isn't built with gapps (unless you make it to)

Go to /system/build.prop. Open with text viewer/text editor. Find line dalvik.vm.dexopt-data-only=1. This is dalvik2cache script. If you change the value=0, then [email protected]*.dex files will be moved from /data/dalvik-cache to /cache/dalvik-cache, and you get plenty free space in /data (internal memory).

These are CM bootanimation.
The first one works fine on cm-11-20140621-NIGHTLY (4.4.4 KTU84P) build , while the second one can't not be tried, Dropbox Error (509) occurred while downloading the animation files.Attachments
