6 hours, is that normal? There's something weird on 'Google Play Services', it's too drain my battery so much [50%??].
Without data connection, it's up to 1 day 18 hours.

Help :( I flashed this after rooting and updating OTA to ICS and finally tracked down the atrix 2 bootstrap apk since it was no where to be found. I'm in a boot loop I did a factory reset and wipe and didn't think there was anything else. I made a backup but don't know how I can get into recovery :( help! Thanks

How can you update OTA after rooting?
We don't use bootstrap anymore, only Boot Menu Manager to flash custom ROMs

So now is your A2 AT&T? If so, find exactly stock FW 4.0.4 ICS for AT&T and use RSD to flash your phone to stock, then install BMM and flash any custom ROM you want. :fingers-crossed:

P/S: maybe you need one more comment to confirm my method is correct

Idk, but I updated OTA even with root, it let me. I have tried to find boot menu manager several times, and could never find a working link and the play store doesn't work. My Atrix 2 was always AT&T tho by the way, I will try and download this RSD and reflash and try to find a working bmm.

What do you mean maybe I need one more comment to confirm your method??

Thanks for the help and response .

And I've noticed most of the referenced files for this phone in the forum are no longer working or broken. :/

Sounds good to me.
Safer route might be flashing the proper system.img only.

I know I messed up by flashing the bootstrap instead of the bmm but I was confused, and could NOT find bmm link anywhere or play store. How do I flash and find the system img. With the kdz?

This device had so much potential.. Only got botched up coz of motorola's stupid bootloader policy back then.

If you ask me, the locked bl made it more challenging and exciting. Plus, dev work stopped because we couldn't get Safestrap working properly, which was needed in order to get 5.0+ roms, and everyone moved on.

We had a good run. Rest in peace, dear Edison.

Does anyone have the latest build of this rom to Atrix 2?
The download links does not work anymore.

Updated to PA 2.57.3 (alpha6 - will be an alpha until I fix something major..)

    **
    Also, here's a pre-alpha preview version of PA 3.10 for Edison (based on AOSP 4.2.2): pa_edison-3.10-pre-alpha0.6_28FEB2013_signed.zip (MD5: AFD140423FA540FD1C64C13038409A8E)
Use 4.2.x gapps, like these: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip
Install in custom recovery.. wipe data, install ROM, install gapps, wipe dalvik and cache partition.

Working: phone, mms, data, wifi, gps, bluetooth(?), rotation/screenshot, init.d, Chrome, PAPrefs, etc...
Issues: camera/video cam very bugged (no video?), shifty/tearing UI, lag/unresponsiveness, no soft-key lights, no tether, same multiple moto logo boot, etc... this is a big work-in-progress.

    @cogeary: thanks, and let's do this.. ;)

EDIT: New 4.2.2 GApps available (not recommended for anything below 4.2.2): http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip

EDIT2: New AOSPA pre-alpha0.75 build (and probably subsequent builds) can be found here: http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=3474

    Re: [ROM][JB 4.1.2 & 4.2.2] PARANOIDANDROID 2.57.4 & 3.15 [Updated 2013.03.27]

etc, etc... and, voila, stock camera is now working - no video recording yet, and can't view media from gallery app - but face unlock is working now (and possibly other apps that use FFC).

I feel we are close to pinning down the kexec boot issues, so not sure if I will mess around with this more to try and fix-up video and media storage, or just keep trying to fix kexec.. maybe both..
OK, I still haven't uploaded it yet, but I can confirm that Snapchat is working..(that's a silly app :p)
But still no video recording whatsoever.. Looks audio related somehow.
Also fixed the gallery app for viewing media - I think from fixing the Settings>Storage FC (duh, if I would've noticed that right away.. framework-res storage_list.xml)
I'll try to upload it tomorrow.

And with the arrival of Mr. Hashcode on the A2 scene, I think it's safe to say that the kexec boot issues will be worked out very soon, and many custom ROMs and kernels will follow... Not necessarily from me... but, yea, development should really start to open up for this phone... finally.

A word of advice: get your android build environment set up now.. :D

Glad to see it's working (at least as expected) for everyone... and, thanks for the kind words - I'm happy to share.

A few comments about the comments/questions:
-haven't tested hdmi/webtop/dock, or looked into it yet... I'm thinking Jim might have that all worked out for CM10... but consider it added to the list (except I don't have an hdmi cable, or dock of any kind)..
-daavvis's init.d OC/UC zip script worked for me last time I tried (1.0 stock version)..
-camera/corder is high-priority to get fixed and stable (along with that rotation issue - I can get by with the aScreenshot app, but I think the rotation and screenshot might be tied together.. so, a 2-for-1 deal hopefully... btw, the screenies in the OP were taken with the native screenshot, normal size.. but that was under a badly flickering UI, so I had to change some things, which consequently brought the shrinkage back - but I briefly tasted screenshot normality :p)
-battery is not terribly bad, but I would like better (and intend to do so the best I can)... and it may just be my personal phone/usage/settings - seems I have never had good battery life..

I have a lot of "to-do" and "to-try" items on my imaginary pile of lists for this project... so, please don't mind the mess while it's under construction.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy... More to come..
