Previous build was the best ever build,at least for me.No reboots,hot or cold,no battery consumption,everything perfect after a dirty install.
This build...very dissapointing for me! Soft reboots are back again, cold reboots led me to loose an important phone call,lag lag and again lag after a dirty install.

I have just installed a fresh v7.9 but it seems that I cannot access notification panel in fullscreen apps (was working fine in v7.7). This actually created a real problem when I'd enabled expanded desktop mode since I cannot access my notifications right now at all (and quick settings as well). I've tried using Nova launcher actions to expand notification or QS tiles but to no avail. Is there any other place in Settings that I could disable expanded desktop mode (there is none in Power menu)?

Hi,
Dealing with some problems since a while.
Did dirrrty flashes as well as clean ones.

Here is whats happening: around 1 time a day my note dont come back from sleepmode/display off.
Pushing a button turns screen on but only black with backlite. Only thing i can do is hard reboot...

Another thing i noticed in the last few weeks is that gaming performance got lots weaker.


Any thoughts to this?

I have just finished compiling a build that should fix your tethering problems.
Upload should be done in a couple of hours (uploading three builds on a crappy connection abroad).

I am experiencing this from 7.7: if the screen was off when the "bad thing" happens, I have the same issue of yours.
Instead, sometimes I encounter a similar behaviour when I am using the phone (mostly on whatsapp or chrome): phone randomly goes slow, SO slow, it becomes unuseable and screen won't turn off, but it still appears to answer to commands (after 10 sec. of delay). Button backlite is on. I have to hard reboot.
I wonder if this is related to the same issue of yours...

If I encounter this while at home and still can connect with usb debug mode at my pc, I'll attach a logcat.

Dear Chas,

Any fix for the touch on screen is too high at the bottom? After activating the navigation bar the touch on screen above the navigation bar is high. Above the top of navigation bar should be the end of touch for nav buttons but you still able to touch it even after the top border line of nav bar. I usually press the keyboard lover from the keys and I always tap the nav bar buttons instead of space, period, etc. The Nav bar high is the default one.

Please see attached photo. The Blue line is the top end on Navigation button and the Red one is where the Nav Bar touch ends. So the Gap from Blue and Red are still touches for Nav Bar instead for the actual on screen.

I don't have this problem with other AOSP or CM based rom.

I can confirm that delay issue too. But didnt experienced it for a while now...
Biggest problem may be thats these things are really hard to reproduce - thats why i'm really careful with such reports!

One thing i can say is that its not a "xposed framework" related problem, or damaged SD - same without both.

I have such hanging issues often as well. Phone becomes unresponsive with the screen on, backlight on. Need to reboot to come outta it

The option should be there in your Quick tiles called "Normal" if not just add the tile from your settings.
