About those memtrack errors in logcats, if I have well understood they are related to app install location preference (automatic or prefer external) when there is no external sdcard.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19945008/failed-to-load-memtrack-module-2

Now, maybe unrelated, I have noticed that, if you go in Settings --> Memories (or similar... sorry, my phone language is Italian), the external SD is recognized (29,26 GB, FAT32) but if you click on "Partition Info", you have "not available" in external sd (see pic).
Can this be fixed in a way?

OK back from some sort of semi brick - lost recovery but could still get into download so odined it.
@osd_daedalus
I'm running relatively vanilla at the moment but have checked and am using Dalvik and not ART.

memtrack errors: Setting->storage->Nothing happens when I click the partition info for my SD card. But I know it is working OK as I can play music from it.

I've noticed that Documents only crashes if the file type has not been associated; so it is OK with jpgs but crashes with zips?

Still no joy with private numbers when I try to blacklist them. Tho the error message about dialer having stopped makes no sense as when I press OK I'm back to dialer unless it is relaunching? Debug level catlog attached.

When my data is active the battery drains pretty quickly and when it reaches 40% or so, the screen starts flickering.
I am using a genuine Samsung battery which is about a year old, is it time to get a new one or it could be a software issue?

I am using DU_n7000_4.4.4_20141003-1715.v8.0

It's time then to wish you the best for your next adventures.
I've seen how the "team" evolved from Asylum times, and it has been a great community.
I switched away from my beloved Note some times ago, and I can only say that it's unfortunately a sign of the time. We strive to make the best of our devices, but as technology goes, it cannot last as newer devices bring so much more.

Farewell and good luck.

Hi @chasmodo,

[GASP]What, you can't leave us....???[/GASP]
So does this mean no Android L(ollipop) version of DU now, or will there be someone to take over when you've left....??

Anyway, I just wish to thank you for all your time and effort with the NOTE, on all the many many roms you have given us over this time... (I've only had my Note for less than a year) but already appreciating the great advances in these roms....

Wish you well on your new venture, what's your new device you are dev for now...??

/ please don't forget us, we love a blind-build once in a while... ;) lol

All the best, Lister

Unfortunately, this is my last N7000 build.

Tomorrow morning I'm selling my Note after sticking with it for almost three years now. Time for me to move on, I guess.

Among "issues" I have with DU, battery is not among them.
It is 95% of times due of a service going in activity and preventing phone from going in Deep Sleep (example: Google Photo automatic backup; MediaService reading too many images or corrupted files...)

I have wrote a post about :)

That must be why suddenly my phone hasn't experienced an issue from 3 days :D

Seriously, thank you @chasmodo for your efforts on N7000, I have enjoyed a lot my Note thanks to you and of the hard work of yours and of Team DIRT.
I wish to let you know that I have never complained about "poor stability" or such, I just wanted to return my contribute on this project in this matter, and since I am a really poor programmer, that's why the ton of logcats.

All of my best wishes in your life, your work and your next phone you are building a ROM for ;)

Thanks chasmodo, you kept the N7000 alive. But to all good things comes an end..

I just moved to the one plus one last week. The ol' Note serves as a gaming phone for the kids now. Still going strong!

Thanks for all the good times

Thanks for everything you have done for the N7000 @chasmodo

It has been a pleasure flashing your ROMs, and the frequency of test builds has kept the flashaholic in me very happy.
Not sure where I'm going to get my fix from now!!!

I expect I will stick with your last test build as my daily driver for some time to come.
No other ROM I have tried on the N7000 has such a perfect balance of customisability, speed and battery life.
It's inevitable that development will dry up on this device in the near future, as it is getting a little too long in the tooth.
Unfortunately I can't afford to change my device at the moment, so I'll stick with the N7000 for a while longer.

Can I just ask, does DU use the Preload partition?
I've been thinking of repartitioning the N7000 to max out the space for application installs and am wondering if I can do away with the Preload partition.

Again, thanks for everything and best wishes for the future and your future devices.
