Unfortunately, this is my last N7000 build.

Tomorrow morning I'm selling my Note after sticking with it for almost three years now. Time for me to move on, I guess.
Also wish you all the best for the future. Was a nice journey with you and all the others of Asylum...

Btw still use my old Note ;)

Cant thank you enough for all the efforts you put in for our little group that still sticks to the note. Hope I will be able to enjoy one of your roms in future on a different device.

Sad that we lost our Knight for N7000

Hi Chas,
Thanks for everything, these phenomenal builds that helped extend the life of my note far beyond my wildest expectation.

I cannot afford another phone yet and will continue to use the note(with the last build that you cooked) until it dies on me.

I, for one hoped that you would definitely release a build of lollipop for the note, now that google has released the source-code and was saddened to know of your decision.
However, you cannot be compelled and you will have your own reasons for your decision and I hope that your decision was not spurred in part by some of us who kept cribbing(or complaining) of some lack of functionality or feature or performance issue with the builds that you churned out with such dedication and commitment.

All the best to you for the future and I will deeply miss your roms, just as I very much miss robbie Hood and his roms when he called it a day

Regards

Thank you for everything @chasmodo, your builds were the only reason I'm still with a N7000, even today at work someone asked me "Why are you keeping an old N7000?", then I showed him your rom & he understood why.

Thanks again, & hope to see you soon, I'll probably buy the same device that you'll buy just because of your work. :highfive:

To give homage to @chasmodo...
Dirty flashed latest (and last!) testbuild with newest jajb GApps Minimal X (2014-10-30)
Not an issue since now.
Some apps take long time to load, but I believe it can be "fixed" (if wanted) by using a different cpu governor less battery friendly. It must be noted that apps evolve, and our devices starts to be old.

I believe this build will be on my phone for long :)

When my data is active the battery drains pretty quickly and when it reaches 40% or so, the screen starts flickering.
I am using a genuine Samsung battery which is about a year old, is it time to get a new one or it could be a software issue?

I am using DU_n7000_4.4.4_20141003-1715.v8.0
I had the exact same problem on my phone. And my battery was about a year and a half old. I bought a new battery and it solved the problem. Its most likely because your battery has aged. I recommend using someone else's Note battery and try it.
If not then try buying a new one. It should solve your problem .

Thanks so much for supporting our Note all this time. DU is and will remain one of the best ROMs.

Hi All,

Wow, this is fantastic news.... :) Does this mean we have got ourselves a new maintainer....?? Or is/was the guy just doing it as a one off....??

Lets hope he is here with us to stay, and can continue the GREAT WORK that Chasmodo has already done for us....

May even see Lollipop DU on our Note now too...

Well this is great news indeed... :)

Going to dirtyflash the (un)official 8.2 with the new jajb gapps...

Do you think we can use this thread to discuss about the N7000 port, now that it stepped down as "unofficial"? Or should be created a new thread?
I wonder if Lionel's work will become the new official N7000 build :)
