Long time since a ROM cooked by someone other than Chas on my note.
8.2 seems good.
Looking forward to lollipop

The thread won't be closing in the near future.
So we can continue to discuss DU for N7000 here.

I've flashed the 8.2 Unofficial Test Build and all is okay.

If the ROM continues to be cooked unofficially, we'll see the changes that are held against the main DU build, but not Chasmodo's cherry picks.
Possibly other cherry picks............
No guarantee of a Lollipop build though.

I'm just glad that there's the possibility of further builds for our device.

Have fun all................ FF

I'm loving v8.2!!
But I have a battery drainage problem. I figured out that Google + was the culprit. It was on the whole time. But the thing is, how do i get rid of it? My battery was at 89 percent. And after an hour without usage (wifi off, 3g off, gps off, Bluetooth off), it went down to 63 percent. Please help me out guys. Thanks in advance!

I had a "fingerprint_scanner_service" service related to G+ which was continuosly running and was draining battery.
Usually this wakelock lasts a couple of minutes.
If that's the issue.....

Solution 1: go in Settings -> App -> In Use -> Google+ and see if a process "fingerprint_scanner_service" or something similar is running. If yes... kill it!

Solution 2, much drastic: deactivate/freeze Google+ (with TitaniumBackup or in App->Google+-> Deactivate).

If Solution 1 goes bad and you don't want to be drastic, please check this post:

P.S. G+ can be the culprit also if you have turned on Google Photo automatic backup, then reason is G+ is uploading data to cloud.
To understand which is the culprit in detail, please check my link.

if you don't use G+ why don't you uninstall it??
if you flashed pa gapps then download the gapps remover by pa and uninstall G+.
There are instructions in PA Gapps thread how to use Gapps remover.
hope it helps :)

big thanks to Lionel Bourbia,
I'm very happy to see that DU is not dead for our believed N7000 !
and that you give some continuity to Chasmodo's fantastic work.
And again big thanks to you Chasmodo for every ROM you cooked for us :)

Second that. The G+ battery drainage problem has come back with this build. It was absent in other DU builds over the last 2 or so months.
Unfortunately uninstalling G+ is the only solution that has worked for me.

Hmm I have no issues with G+ with this build.

If can be useful, my config is: no autobackup of photo and G+ installed as "normal" app, not as system app (I use jajb Minimal X)

I got rid of G+ months ago and use it very successfully through Chrome now.
I don't really miss the app.

Hi! To solve this without uninstalling or freezing G+ is to go to Settings - Permissions - Look for G+ - Look for Camera then deny it (Only activate it if you want to take a photo within the G+ app). The finger_scanning will not bother you ever again after rebooting, it will only run for few secs on boot. You can also deny the Stay Awake.

Nope! It still reboots randomly. Been using for a day now. I just found out that it does the same with OmniROM. :(

Never experimented something similar.
If you say this won't happen with other ROMs, the only thing which goes on my mind software-wise is phone is in huge activity, so it is consuming a lot of battery juice and, balancing discharge vs charge, phone charges slowly.

But if this is the case, you should have a hot device and a fast battery draining while not in charge.

Are you sure this is not hardware related?
Another cause of slow recharge, after the ones already mentioned (ruined battery...) can be a oxidated usb port. You could try using a contact cleaner spray and a little brush in the usb port.

No other ideas here :(

Clean flash?
New battery?
Fluff in your charging socket?
Duff charger?
This Rom doesn't have a charging problem.
