I had the exact same problem on my phone. And my battery was about a year and a half old. I bought a new battery and it solved the problem. Its most likely because your battery has aged. I recommend using someone else's Note battery and try it.
If not then try buying a new one. It should solve your problem .
I got a new battery, genuine one from Samsung. Now the battery isn't draining that fast but at 35% or 20% the screen starts to flicker and then it shuts down, and won't boot up until I plug in the charger. It's definitely better than the old one but the issue's still there, could be it ROM related?

More likely the battery. But try on a different rom to be sure.

Hi All,

Looks like the N7000, maybe getting support and bringing it upto DirtyUnicorn 9 (Lollipop) after all....

Those of you who may not visit the Google+ page for DU anymore, since our great Chasmodo has left the scene for the N7000... It seems our HERO Lionel Bourbia who brought us our last and final update to DU8.2 is stepping in again, to hopefully continue DU upto Lollipop....

It appears there maybe some stumbling blocks, where is unable to find the source/files he needs, since it became abandoned, and doesn't appear to be getting much support there.... He is not asking for people to do it FOR HIM. It seems he wants to do it for enjoyment, and to learn as he goes along.... So if anyone who knows this kinda stuff, wants to lend him a helping hand.... Your support, can see this great rom on our devices once again. Without it, we'll be limited with rom choices, and as DU is one of the better ones... Be a shame to see this one go....

Cheers, Lister

Since I flashed bauner's kernel, I found myself with CWM rather than TWRP.
I really prefer the latter... but I fail in finding a TWRP recovery which isn't associated with a kernel or a ROM to flash.
Can you please give me a link for a flashable twrp for n7000?
Thank you :)

much confused than before...

Recovery is part of the kernel. sorry.
I'm not sure about this, shouldn't recovery be in a different partition?
If recovery is integrated into the kernel, I wouldn't explain myself why there are articles about porting CWM... am I recompiling a kernel/kernel module too?
http://xda-university.com/as-a-developer/porting-clockworkmod-recovery-to-a-new-device

Even about terminology, I can't find anything about recovery being part of kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/nexus-4-guide-unlock-bootloader-root-t2266654
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1930844

Also, I wouldn't explain why you can download recovery images from TWRP website if recovery is part of kernel...

Issue is, for TWRP, only SGH-I717 is supported (Note 1 LTE) and I don't know if that is the one used for DU-N7000, or if the one we have is a ported version...

On the other hand, I fail anyway to understand why you get a new recovery while flashing a new kernel, if they are detached...

No, recovery is NOT in a different partition. the N7000 is different from most devices in that regard.
My advice is that if you want twrp, stick with a kernel that has twrp.

yes, you are right, just now I have found this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46183414&postcount=2
You can't install twrp. On this device the recovery is implemented in the kernel. As such you would have to compile a kernel using twrp.
Also I have found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1949582

Looks like if I want TWRP, either I stick with a kernel/twrp as you suggested, OR ask the dev to make a twrp version, OR I have to recompile all for myself.

Maybe I'm monotonous. Maybe I will repeat ...
What this means, written in the first post:

I know that generally the Android 4.xx has problems with call recording ...
But how the hell to run this function on Galxy Note (N7000)? In which place? Which function?
Perhaps one of the authors or developers are able to help me? It is extremely important for me. In my country, this feature is Shakespeare's "to be or not to be .."

Hi @jac.ek,

Basically, make a phone call to anyone... and if CALL RECORDING is supported in your country, hold the phone away from your ear so you can see the screen, and the screen will turn on by itself based on Proximity sensor...

If it's supported, you should see a NEW ICON at the end of all your other icons... This feature is new, and will only show up if your on one of the last couple of ROMs.... If not, you're stuck.... And you won't be able to ask the Dev, as he has stopped developing or supporting this rom any more...

The recording format options can be found inside the DIALER App settings, gives you a choice of TWO formats....

Hope that helps, Lister

Hi All,

Just lately we have been blessed by Lionel who came to our aid, and stepped in when Chasmodo moved on... to give us DU8.2 (last KitKat).

Although he is trying to bring us updates to DU, and possibly DU9 (Lollipop) to our N7000 without much support over there... Looks like there is another new guy (Yazan) in town and on the case, for the N7000.... He's just shown off 7 photos of Lollipop running on the Note (N7000) and I must say it does look rather swell... ;) :D

So lets hope he is part of the team, and we all get to see his great work in the not so distant future... :)

Cheers, Lister

Is it possible to set the automatic recording of all calls (incoming and outgoing)? Without user intervention?

I mean, once I set, then all records.
