Odd that you would need DRM content in the browser, I'm trying to think of anything that would require that and I'm drawing a blank. Just FYI with those files deleted you can still play DRM files from Google Play (I tested one movie but I would assume if there were issues they would show right away). It really does annoy me when Google can't manage to make their own software work together. One of the big issues with Android has always been battery life and this has been a longstanding thing as far back as I can remember. There are already enough strains on battery with all the crazy hardware going into these devices, why is Google contributing to the problem with giant idle drain? You would think they want us to move over to Apple with all their poor work on Google Play Services.
What this whole fiasco showed me is I don't need google.
I installed only the rom, and amazon app store. No play updates thank you very much.
Standby battery life has never been better. 5 days, an hour of screen and only 15% battery used.
And ya, I already left android for ios as a phone....

Just wanted to confirm, my battery life is better than ever too...1% Awake in 18hrs. (obviously very little usage)

Good luck with iPhone, i have an iMac and it's very cool but also limited as far as 3rd party goes (which is good & bad depending on your point of view)

Hope you stick with us a while longer, you have done superior work with this AOKP rom base and i thank you for all you have done. This incident makes me even more determined to dig deeper into the android structure and provide self-support.

Best to you & yours... & Ho, Ho, Ho :good: :)

Thanks for the kind words, I'll do what I can. Best to you and yours too!
I will definitely try to get an aokp lollipop build out when aokp is ready for lollipop.
They aren't there yet but they are working towards it.

Oh you can install amazon app store on any device? Wow im going to look that up... though unfortunately i still need google mail.

I have been trying with those files hashed out and it does seem to help a lot. So thats a partial solution. Still getting more drain than necessary though, about 1% per hour.

Just got my tf701 unlocked and tried this rom. I can say there is a significant improvement in perceived performance over stock.

I have noticed the system ram usage seems pretty high. It never seems to go below 1GB. Have others experienced this?

As far as I know, this is totally normal.

Dock-mounted sdcard not recognized.

I just stumbled upon this thread, and I have installed this ROM on my TF701T. Almost everything Everything works great.

Good work!

However, the OS doesn't seem to recognize the sdcard which I have plugged into the dock.

I have an extra sdcard plugged into the tablet which is indeed recognized, and, of course, the internal sdcard is visible, as well.

However, when I go to "Storage" within the settings, only the internal sdcard and tablet sdcards appear, and the "Dock SD Card" area is greyed out.

If I remove the dock sdcard, I get a proper "SD card was removed" notification. And when I re-insert the dock sdcard, I get the notification about it being mounted, but then, I get a "USB is in use" notification, and that dock sdcard remains unknown to the OS.

When running CM-11 on this same device, all three sdcards are recognized.

Is there something I'm missing about this ROM, concerning the recognition of the dock sdcard?

Thank you in advance.

Never mind. The dock's sdcard shows up at the bottom of the list of "USB STORAGE" entries within the Storage setting.

Sorry for the bandwidth.
