What version u had before? I dirty flash over 5/10. Can u normally send files? Coz pairing always worked.

Sent using tf300t - PAC-man/GRIMLOCK (Linaro)

I haven't tried sending files, and I came from the stock KK.

EDIT: Also, are there any fixes in the latest build?

Coz pairing always works, but ie i cant connect to my bt headphones on newer than 5/10, thats why i asked

For changelog go to https://carbonrom.org/changes/, as its unofficial with changes only to make it work on our phones

I just tried to pair it with my computer, yeah pretty much what you said.
Pairing works, but other functions are dead, welp, looks like we'll have to wait.

Also, I don't know why the pimped kernel isn't working for me, any idea?

DOnt know. Its working fine in every version (im trying it wlways to see if maybe itll make bt works), but maybe try greatdevs kernel?

Again, doesn't work.
None of the custom kernels I've tried work.
Is it because I'm running the 3G version of the ZU (C6802)?
If so, that oughta suck. And yes, I have clean flashed all the way from FTF to recovery to system.

3g/lte are not the problem (it will just be unused part of rom/kernel).

Maybe try different stock as base? Im using .108 and everything is fine

Okay, well, here's what I did exactly, do tell me if I did something wrong.

  1. Flashed C6802's Taiwan 14.4.A.0.108 FTF in flash mode
  2. Flashed the ROM's boot.img
  3. Boot into recovery
  4. Flashed the Carbon zip
  5. Flashed Pimped/GreatDevs kernel
  6. Reboot
  7. *boot loop*
  8. Reboot into fastboot and flashed Carbon's boot.img again to fix the issue

Could it be the FTF or I'm doing something wrong here?

Hi guys, I've searched this thread but couldn't find anyone else with a similar problem:
On the latest build, after 30/40 screen unlocks my backlight fails to turn on.
The only way to get it back is flash the rom again, but then it's sucky and FCs a lot until I do a clean install (wipe data, dalvik, system, and cache before flash)
I haven't flashed any fancy kernel or anything, just the rom and PA Gapps. This is the only rom that gives me the vibrating bass I used to get before kitkat, so I'd like to use it as my daily but not being able to see the screen is a *slight* hindrance

Seaside Voivodeships
I was using newest build only for 15 minutes, but had 3g/4g on,and everything was fine, dont count bt. Used pa gapps too, so they are not the problem.

Maybe try full clean flash, i mean flashing stock 108/118 first, than kernel and rom?

Sent using C6833 - Carbon KitKat/GreatDevs

Unofficial build of Carbon Kitkat 4.4.4 for the Togari

This ROM is built from source using
    Carbon's git
    CM's git
My changes to CM's tree etc
CM's kernel with changes for ZU

Looks like most everything works well
    Camera glitches:

This should be no longer needed as CM has included this in their base
Builds 31 to 35 suffer from bluethooth issues. If bluetooth is important stay on build 30 for now

    Build 14 [2014-05-15]:
Carbon Togari (2014-05-15) - Direct XDA Download
    Install :(
As the build of 11/05 had a broken recovery the install instructions above may not work, depending on whether you have flashed a different boot.img to the one in the zip.

If you have already flash a different kernel/recovery over build 11 (11th may) then you don't need to follow the instructions below

    1. Download the new build (#12) and copy to the ZU
    2. Open the D/Ld ROM on a PC and extract the boot.img file from the zip and save
    3. Power off the ZU and connect to the PC while holding the Vol. Up Key to enter fastboot
    4. Open flashtool (or use adb/fastboot) and flash the boot.img, should take about 2 sec
    5. Reboot into recovery
    6. Flash ROM as normal, Wipe as you see fit.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused

    Build 13 [2014-05-14]:
    removed as unneeded
    Build 12 [2014-05-12]:
    removed as unstable
    Build 11 [2014-05-11]:
Carbon Togari (2014-05-11) - Direct XDA Download
Recovery doesn't seem to work in this build :(
Download any of these kernels: DT2W_CM11_build-9.zip or CM11-Kernel_Carbon-default_build-9.zip from the download tab above or PimpedKernel and flash immediately after flashing the ROM (don't reboot between flashes) to have a working recovery

    Build 10 [2014-05-03]:

Sorry for the delay in getting the next update out, but as some of you know I have changed from building in a VM to wipeing windows off my new i7 laptop and installing openSUSE.

This turned out to be a painful process to back up 1/3 of a TB of dev stuff to the NAS and then restore it - only to find that all the simlinks in the source trees for the 3 custom ROMs I'm playing with were all broken so I had to recopy them again - only to find that the permissions on most of the scripts were missing the x bit. In the end I deleted the working trees and had to re-checkout the source.

Then came the whole 'everything is written for Ubuntu' and I much prefer anything but. Finally got all the dev tools I needed and away we went...

Got a Carbon img built last night and through it on the ZU this morning only to find that the kernel isn't bringing up the system.

Might be a few days untill the next update
OK folks there is a new build up that has a working double tap to wake. There is a slight issue with the sensitivity when not on a power source, but may work better if there is not a second screen protector over the ASF.

Also included in this update is a fix for the SoD that some of us have had.
