Am I the only one who constantly have problem with YouTube?

Sometimes I can't watch twitch or YouTube, either black screen or connection error loop.

Sent from my Xperia Z Ultra using XDA Free mobile app

Can I dirty flash "20140921-1152" (Carbon buid 29) over "20140809-1316" (may be build13)? I mean I want to upgrade.

Thanks for your awesome ROM. :good:

Edit : I diry flashed and camera was frozen. Flashed boot then ROM and worked fine.
One question please, did u remove hover feature in build 29?

Auto rotation

Hi blue

Thanks for the great rom, been playing with settings for the last couple of hours. The whole Pie thing is quite interesting.

Just a question though, I saw there were a few posts about the auto rotation not working but that was a few versions back. I downloaded your latest one this afternoon but can't seem to get auto rotate to work. I have it enabled in both the system settings and Nova launcher, but I can't get anything to rotate. Not the home screen, not Firefox, nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
R

Remember, you can fix it by editing the sec_config under /etc/. Just remove anything under the added sensor line.

No more support for the Z Ultra?

Just built this last night to try it out, and really like it. I don't want to commit to maintaining the ROM long-term yet, but will likely keep using it, so will try to post frequent builds. Maybe when Carbon is "officially released", we can get a new thread and nightlies going. Enjoy!

How is the ROM so far? Kind of wanna switch away from CyadineL, switched from Carbon to that, there are occasional System UI crashes so I might just move again.

So far pretty good, very clean and smooth.. Nav bar still have problems in landscape, but I using pie on landscape so no much of a deal.. Battery life.. Very impressive.. No FC at all nor reboots so far

Sounds impressive, might try that tonight. Not sure why almost every other ROMs out there has this nav bar issue tho.

    Build 14 [2014-05-15]:
Carbon Togari (2014-05-15) - Direct XDA Download
    Install :(
As the build of 11/05 had a broken recovery the install instructions above may not work, depending on whether you have flashed a different boot.img to the one in the zip.

If you have already flash a different kernel/recovery over build 11 (11th may) then you don't need to follow the instructions below

    1. Download the new build (#12) and copy to the ZU
    2. Open the D/Ld ROM on a PC and extract the boot.img file from the zip and save
    3. Power off the ZU and connect to the PC while holding the Vol. Up Key to enter fastboot
    4. Open flashtool (or use adb/fastboot) and flash the boot.img, should take about 2 sec
    5. Reboot into recovery
    6. Flash ROM as normal, Wipe as you see fit.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused

    Build 13 [2014-05-14]:
    removed as unneeded
    Build 12 [2014-05-12]:
    removed as unstable
    Build 11 [2014-05-11]:
Carbon Togari (2014-05-11) - Direct XDA Download
Recovery doesn't seem to work in this build :(
Download any of these kernels: DT2W_CM11_build-9.zip or CM11-Kernel_Carbon-default_build-9.zip from the download tab above or PimpedKernel and flash immediately after flashing the ROM (don't reboot between flashes) to have a working recovery

Sorry for the delay in getting the next update out, but as some of you know I have changed from building in a VM to wipeing windows off my new i7 laptop and installing openSUSE.

This turned out to be a painful process to back up 1/3 of a TB of dev stuff to the NAS and then restore it - only to find that all the simlinks in the source trees for the 3 custom ROMs I'm playing with were all broken so I had to recopy them again - only to find that the permissions on most of the scripts were missing the x bit. In the end I deleted the working trees and had to re-checkout the source.

Then came the whole 'everything is written for Ubuntu' and I much prefer anything but. Finally got all the dev tools I needed and away we went...

Got a Carbon img built last night and through it on the ZU this morning only to find that the kernel isn't bringing up the system.

    TL;DR
Might be a few days untill the next update

OK folks there is a new build up that has a working double tap to wake. There is a slight issue with the sensitivity when not on a power source, but may work better if there is not a second screen protector over the ASF.

Also included in this update is a fix for the SoD that some of us have had.
