Just built this last night to try it out, and really like it. I don't want to commit to maintaining the ROM long-term yet, but will likely keep using it, so will try to post frequent builds. Maybe when Carbon is "officially released", we can get a new thread and nightlies going. Enjoy!

ROM has finished, but fluency is not high, some Carlton, hoping to continue to optimize,Thank you

Does Xposed work? I was stuck in the boot load after flashing the latest 5.1 Alpha 4 Xposed.

Sounds impressive, might try that tonight. Not sure why almost every other ROMs out there has this nav bar issue tho.
It's due to the nav bar customisation feature that most ROMs have been including lately. Ours is not the only device with the issue, so I'm hoping someone will figure it out soon.

It's built with Zombie kernel, which I like for a balance between performance and battery life. You may try installing the CM or Slim kernel instead and seeing which you prefer.

Xposed 5.1 Alpha 4 works here! No idea what the problem could be... Wiped cache?

Yup, everything works now. I'll give this a try for a week or so.

EDIT: Oh, since this is built using the Zombie kernel, there should be a way to adjust the kernel settings right? Something to do with Synapse I forgot.

New build for anyone running this: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B629ORx1POtQZjVPWUJhcFVYTTA/edit?usp=docslist_api

Nav bar issue still there, but Tobias Teschner appears to be working on a fix for it for BlissPop, thankfully.

Very good, I hope you can continue to update, I suggest that in order to let more people see so good ROM, it is recommended that you post alone in XDA

If you have more good ROM build, I hope you can release, and finally really thank you

Hello All,
I just installed this on my Xperia Z Ultra and I cannot move forward because of this error message that keeps popping up
unfortunately com.android.provision has stopped.

How can I resolve this?

Would you recommend one please?
I am most interested in one with the DT2W feature.

As far as I can recall, DT2W was dropped by almost all devs a few months ago. Battery drain was the primary issue I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Any other ROM should serve your needs; Scrubbers Stock (if you like everything just so), BlissPop or ResurrectionRemix. They all had recent builds.

Thank you much!
I was really hoping to get something with DT2W.
I will try the ROMS you suggested. Perhaps one of them will play better with a proximity wake screen app on the PlayStore.

Thank you!
:)

Do tell whichever ROM you find the best. I've tried Resurrection and some other L ROM I forgot and the yellow screen bothered me so much, and it's really annoying to calibrate yourself, only on Carbom L I don't get the issue.

Did You try to flash C6833 ftf and than this Rom?
Not sure if I am on clean flash of latest build (think that yes) as I was using it almost since first build and even trying other (newer) roms I always ended restoring backup, but sensors are working fine. Everything is working fine for me.

If C6833 ftf wont help, but You would still want this rom, I can help with TWRP backup of working (for me) build (with GreatDevs kernel and after Factory Reset so You will be able to set it up Your way).

I am so grateful that this rom is still available online. I needed a 4.4 android because my screen got stuck when using 5.1 and above. It's also really clean, I love it :)

    Build 14 [2014-05-15]:
Carbon Togari (2014-05-15) - Direct XDA Download
    Install :(
As the build of 11/05 had a broken recovery the install instructions above may not work, depending on whether you have flashed a different boot.img to the one in the zip.

If you have already flash a different kernel/recovery over build 11 (11th may) then you don't need to follow the instructions below

    1. Download the new build (#12) and copy to the ZU
    2. Open the D/Ld ROM on a PC and extract the boot.img file from the zip and save
    3. Power off the ZU and connect to the PC while holding the Vol. Up Key to enter fastboot
    4. Open flashtool (or use adb/fastboot) and flash the boot.img, should take about 2 sec
    5. Reboot into recovery
    6. Flash ROM as normal, Wipe as you see fit.

Sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused

Download any of these kernels: DT2W_CM11_build-9.zip or CM11-Kernel_Carbon-default_build-9.zip from the download tab above or PimpedKernel and flash immediately after flashing the ROM (don't reboot between flashes) to have a working recovery

Sorry for the delay in getting the next update out, but as some of you know I have changed from building in a VM to wipeing windows off my new i7 laptop and installing openSUSE.

This turned out to be a painful process to back up 1/3 of a TB of dev stuff to the NAS and then restore it - only to find that all the simlinks in the source trees for the 3 custom ROMs I'm playing with were all broken so I had to recopy them again - only to find that the permissions on most of the scripts were missing the x bit. In the end I deleted the working trees and had to re-checkout the source.

Then came the whole 'everything is written for Ubuntu' and I much prefer anything but. Finally got all the dev tools I needed and away we went...

Got a Carbon img built last night and through it on the ZU this morning only to find that the kernel isn't bringing up the system.

    TL;DR
Might be a few days untill the next update

OK folks there is a new build up that has a working double tap to wake. There is a slight issue with the sensitivity when not on a power source, but may work better if there is not a second screen protector over the ASF.

Also included in this update is a fix for the SoD that some of us have had.
