Quick question.
I've been running this for a few days , and just noticed the other day, volume is incredibly low. Main speaker and headphones a little low. OP says mixer paths are added. I'm wondering if I could try using the mixer path zip from one if the other threads, or if there are some edits I could do via root explorer? Or would mixer path from other thread/rom be bad?
I do have poweramp installed, and I see dsp is built in. Is it possible theres a conflict? Is it possible to 'check' somehow?

I don't think there would be a conflict but could be wrong. Easiest way to tell is uninstall power amp and use dsp to test. As for using another mixer path, absolutely. I linked to the extreme mixer path(either here or in the vanir thread, look through em) because others have said sound is a little low. For me through speaker or headphones it's louder than stock so idk y it isn't for some.

Just wanted to say thanks for this. I've been running it since New Years I've had very minor issues. I've tried flashing other KK and LP ASOP ROMs, and even recently ZV8 that was released. Stuff just works so smooth, fast and zero lag on Carbon I can't get rid of it. My favorite part is when downloading files on the phone, i can actually resume them if I lose data service. Where as on stock ROM (ZV6 or ZV8) if it breaks you have to restart downloading and plus it'll randomly stop downloading for no reason. Carbon has none of these issues, thank goodness!

The only issue I've noticed is BlueTooth starts breaking up if further than a couple feet from headset. It may be a known issue, but just throwing it out there.

Thanks again for this ROM, even with ZV8 out I still go back to this!

I'm have zero luck getting GPS lock. I've tried flashing back to stock ROM trick but no luck. I've tried a new clean install but nothing. I flashed CM12 and get a lock with no issues. I was having issues with that ROM with frequent freezes and having to do a battery pull yo reboot.

Is there any other way to get a GPS lock? I have a Bluetooth ODB2 module for my truck and would like to do some data logging as well as up rest of app features

Any help or info is much appreciated!

When you acquire a lock in Stock, be sure to set it to "Device Only" so you're not thinking you have a GPS lock when you're really getting a wifi and mobile networks location.

Thanks for the reply!

With CM12, I read on the thread where I needed to set it to "device only" which I did. Everything seemed to work as far as GPS goes. I have "device only" set in Carbon but no lock. I don't remember either way when I was on stock to what I had it set as. I'll flash back to stock, get a device only lock and flash back to Carbon.

Thanks, I'll update shortly!

Doesn't matter if you set it to device only in the AOSP based build (Carbon). You've got to do it in stock for it to get an accurate first time lock.
I did it and got a lock for sure. Flashed back and nada but only used "device only" since I don't let the phone connect on WiFi at the house due to being bandwidth limited where I live. Only thing I can figure out is when I flashed to stock, it was ZV8 so maybe I need to flash a KitKat stock ROM, get a lock and flash back to Carbon.

Carbon may be different at picking it up, since it isn't the same source as CM. Not really sure. I know in my case, I was on ZV8, with ZV8 RPM/TZ partitions. Got the lock. Flashed the ZV6 RPM/TZ partitions because it was giving me problems on reboot. Then flashed CM and have had no problems at all.

Don't see why it would make a difference if you flashed Carbon instead of CM though.

I could get lock on ZV8 bare as well as CM12. But flash back to Carbon and no go. I did reflash it at some point and got lock for a day or 2, then lost it. I may flash a ZV6 ROM and try to restore Carbon after a lock. That's my only hope. I'd kept running CM12 if it didn' constantly freeze or would freeze with screen off and had to pull battery.

I do wonder what Carbon uses as Download Manager. Out of all ASOP or ZV ROMs, Carbon by far has best download manager for files. All others will fail downloads 50% of the time and would have to redownload. No luck with random download managers from Play Store either. I didn't see anyway to restore Carbon DM, as it's listed no different than what comes with all ROMs. Odd.

Thanks for replies Pooka!

What's strange to me is that I never had an issue with carbon getting a lock. Kk carbon still used mostly cm sources but they changed that with lollipop. So this build shouldn't be affected because its kit Kat. I'll flash back to it when I get home and see if I can get a lick and go from there.

I appreciate the help. For kicks I just finished flashed back to CM12 back up and updated to lastest and see if that fixes the constant crashes it had. I already miss Carbon, just runs the best for me for whatever reason. :)

Since my last post, I decided to jump back to BarePop so I had GPS. Finally grew tired of it last night and tried out 1619415's CM12.1. Everything seemed to work good till mid morning today and lost data. Nothing I did got it back, so figured why not jump back on Carbon again. Did a fresh install and letting it install my apps. Just setting the phone up from scratch again I forgot how cool (to me anyways) Carbon really is compared to everything else. So many cool small things you can modify with nothing more than having the ROM.

I really don't mind at all being back on KK, fingers crossed I'll have GPS! Thanks again for this ROM, I just can't get away from it.
