Installation Instructions

• If you are flashing from stock :
  • You need to have an SELinux enabled recovery. Use TWRP 2.8.6.0
  • Download the CM11 zip and put in phone.
  • Reboot to recovery.
  • Wipe data/factory reset.
  • Wipe cache.
  • Wipe dalvik.
  • Wipe system.
  • Install the CM11 zip.
  • Flash SuperSU.zip
  • (Optional)Flash Gapps (find it in downloads section).
  • Reboot.

Stuck on boot animation.

I wiped everything flashed CM 11 and SuperSU. Even then it is stuck on boot animation. The arrow goes on rotating forever. Sometimes, it is gets to the "Android is upgrading..." stage and gets stuck there. I am a newbie, so I can't figure this out on my own. Please help. I really want this rom.

I downloaded twrp from the downloads section. It is v2.8.6.0.
My phone is SM-G316HU. I tried various things like fixing permissions, flashing boot.img using Odin, clearing cache multiple times etc. Clearing cache after flashing CM makes it go to the "Android is upgrading..." stage. But ultimately it gets stuck. It optimizes 2 apps before doing this. Is there any way I can collect logs that will help to debug?

Thanks, finally it booted up. But there are a lot of bugs. First of all, SIM cards aren't working at all. Secondly, it fails to retain settings. Thirdly, sometimes you can't unlock the phone if it's a sliding lock. The quick settings panel disappears on second reboot. Other than these, it's working. In fact, I'm posting this reply from this ROM.

I think, the problem is that the stock ROM wasn't removed completely. There are apps from the previous ROM too. How do I completely clear the stock ROM?

EDIT: I managed to clear the stock ROM. Now everything is working all right. Thank you a lot for making this ROM and helping a newbie to install it.
