I am doing a test with this room and dyn.kernel. yesterday I ran a YouTube video on stock rom and averaged about 16% battery drain per hour at about 60% brightness.
Doing the same test now with this room and the New kernel with a 50 my under volt. It is hard to guess if u am at exact same brightness as the slider has no numerical values compared to the LG stock rom.
But so far after 30 minutes I have used only about 4-5%. This is a huge improvement during video playback. According to Gsam battery I would be getting about 9 and half hours of battery life compared to about 6 and half.
Now if standby time is as good as stock then I will be very impressed as the battery life which was a weakness is much better.
Now if we can get a gamma fix in kernel I will have a near perfect tablet (have the blue line issue).

By the way knock on and off feature works on this Rom . And by modifying the name in the systems build.prop from LG-V500 to LG-V510 you can then install and use the q pair app with your phone like the stock Rom

Yep, this rom is absolutely great.
I'm running Malladus Rom for testing and because of xbmc and slimport Support.
If these two things will work with this rom any time, it will be the best rom for our tablet. In my opinion it's already the best, now. But then it will be unbeatable.

Love this ROM I will have to try the new update. With the last version I got great battery life about 2-3 days average use. But today I only got 14 hours and I did not use it at all. I use greenify and no new apps. Ill have to check it out and see what I can find.

Running this ROM on on my Nexus 7.12 and on my Gpad. It's great! Good work!

I only have one issue on my Gpad. The keyboard fc if I try to swype the words.
Is it only me?

Edit: Flashing new gapps solved this issue.

The title says the latest ROM is dated 10th Jan. But the download folder has only 7th Jan build.. Am I missing something?

SO SO far this ROM is smooth and fast. These are the things that I miss from stock and wonder if there is a way for them to be ported to work properly:

1) Qremote- tried to flash the one floating around here. Can get it to install but it doesn't do anythin

2) Smart cover unlock feature- tried magnetic unlocker but it seems buggy and noticed I had poor battery drain in sleep last night (1%/her vs. 0.2% on stock LG ROM) not sure if this is the cause but will uninstall and test.

3)Video Player- had some intersting features so if it is portable would like to have

4)Lockscreen- liked having choice of different wallpaper for home and lock screen. I sthere a way to do that? and to add an owners message?

Things from stock I got working:

1)Qpair- works same as stock. install from Playstore (need to modify build prop from LV-500 to LV-510)
2)Knock on- am using Nova launcher and the knock on and off feature works like stock
3)Keyboard- there is an LG keyboard floating around. Not quite same or as good as stock but it does have have number row on top that I like and multi word choice for predicition
4)Camera- there is an LG camera app around that works- Not quite same as stock but seems to have more functionality than the AOSP one.

Couple of things I have noticed.

Sometimes the "Recent Panel" is not showing any previous apps. 9/10 times it works but every once in a while it will display "No Recent Apps". I can't seem to reproduce this. Just happens randomly and sorts itself out after a while.

Battery life in general isn't real bad, just not the same as stock. This is a bit hard to tell since I don't have hard numbers but it feels a touch worse. (Related, I now use the tab more thanks to this ROM and since audio no longer sucks. Could be a side effect of actually using for video now!)

One time I had the bottom right icon disappear in the dock. After re-adding it, a few hours later it came back and gave me an extra icon. I have only seen this once. It happened after first install and first night of charging.

Knock knock works!
Audio Works!
Smooth!

Thank you for all the work gone into this.
