[ROM] [4.4.4] [V500] Mahdi-Rom 2.9 Final

someone on G+ recommended this rom to me as 1st flash for my new Gpad so here i am only 2 hrs into buying this flashing 4.4.2 rom. it looks good from what ive read and been told so lets see how it handles

flashed and had a few gapps fc on me and my 16gb ultra sdcard is only showing as having 200mb..................if any of these things i have mentioned have already been discussed please refer me to that post or reply

What issues are you having with your SD card, I have a 32GB in mine and have no issues with it.

My SD card is acting up too. I have a 64GB card. Was working fine. I went to format to make two partitions to use Link2SD, now won't mount no matter what if the partitions are ext2. It was working with fat32, but that doesn't seem to be working anymore either. ext2 format should work right?

Put it in and it said not recognised and asked me to format it! I did and now it says that I have 200mb only but it's a 16gb card! Have no issues in other devices just this one

Try and put it in your PC and format it and see if you get the correct size, might be the card itself, if it does show correct try it in the tab again and see what happens. Also is the card SD or SDHC?

First of all.... Great Rom! Thx for all the hard work!

But maybe I found a bug in the DSP manager, when I use Google Play Music everything is working fine.
But when I use TuneIn Pro the DSp isn't working anymore? Same thing for 8Tracks......

I stream with BT on a BB Music gateway. I'll need to do further testing and give this post a edit when something new pops up.

But just to be curious, somebody experienced the same problem yet or am I the lucky one?

@Moose0704 - I really appreciate all the work you do, but.......

Could you check DSP setting in the rom? I did some further testing om BT and Headset and only Google Play Music is working with the DSP Manager on BT and Headset. TuneIn, 8Tracks and InfiniTracks can't use the DSP in the rom. (BT or Headset)

I really hope you can solve this, because I use the Gpad mainly for music and radio.

I manually replaced the DSP - rebooted and can confirm that everything is now working fine with all apps. - So could you take this with you in your next update of the rom?

in CM 11 only one Game not installable in Google Play Store.
In your Rom last Week there are many many Apps and Games that can't install in Play Store.

Is that fixed in the new Rom?

I think/found it was a Problem with the LCD Density.
Now i have changed some, 120, 240, 360...but nothing worked?!?

Any Idea what Density i need for all/most Play Store Apps?

By the way, in Stock 4.2.2 Rom from LG ALL Apps and Games are installable. In CM11 only one doesn't work.
In your (the best Rom for the G-Pad) many Apps/Games don't work

Stock and CM11 both use 320 as the LCD density. Maybe that will work?

I have latest twrp installed and flashed PA all working good. Now flashed an experimental version of PA and stuck on boot logo. I followed the steps in to enter recovery and at the factory reset screen. When I press up and up, nothing happens

I think you need to press down down....seriously.

There were some commits that should benefit games. Stock DPI is 320, Mahdi ships with 270 I think

Folder mount breaks the app. There's an app called cache2sd that's supposed to do just this but can't get that to work properly. Any ideas?

You have to clear play store cache after changing dpi

I'm using Folder Mount with no issues on my G-Pad & GS4 with 64GB cards.

You will need to do a manual setting since it's a system app.

Thanks for this promising ROM first of all, gave it a shot on my shiny new G Pad.

One thing I noticed straight away is that the notification bar pulldown is really small, any ideas what might be causing this?

Yep, that's tabletUI from the DPI settings.

Slide the other side, and you will get your quicksettings

Thanks for the quick reply mate- what exactly do you mean by sliding to the other side? If you mean sliding the quicksettings around- yes, that's fine, I noticed that.

I'd prefer a much bigger notification bar pulldown though, if not fullscreen if that's possible somehow.

Change your dpi higher. If I remember right, stock is 320, that should get you what you want I think

Got it- and I think I know what you meant before. Did not realise that I had 'another pulldown' at the top right.

I set the DPI to 320 now and it increased the total overall display, but I was after a fullscreen overlay- but that doesn't matter, it's looking fine as it is now.

I've just installed Mahdi, but I'm struggling to find the DPI settings... pulled down quicksettings but nothing is apparently there.... nothing in customisation either?
