I installed new version today let's see if wifi problem stop now, sometimes the screen off and I can't wake up it for one long time.

One question guys, I've noticed that on the battery menu, exists a battery saver toogle (that was activated in my case). It affects performance when turn on?

Hmm yeh, never noticed that. Mines ticked as on, but when I tap it and go into the Battery Saver Mode, the "Battery Saver" is ticked Off.

I know under Advanced Wi-Fi, I have Wi-fi never on when in sleep, Scanning off when wi-fi off and Wi-Fi Optimisation ticked to minimise battery usage.

I'll turn the Battery Saver on, tick everything, and give it a week and see how it runs.

The only thing I miss is lockscreen rotation cause I use the tablet most of the time in landscape mode. It's not a big problem but would love to see it.

You can enable that feature on settings. My lockscreen rotates fine

I was wondering is there any way to incorporate the Experimental Kernel from the 4/9 build into the next compile of Mahdi for the G-Pad?
I would love to get me hands on that CPu overclocking exploit by showp and the GPu overclocking exploit by faux..

I'm ready to push my 8.3 to the limits since I have no overheating issues or any issues for that matter since I do Full Wipe installs with any ROM change/update I make.. As it stands.. I can't even make my G-Pad flinch.. But, Overclocking to say 2,000 MHz (CPu) 475 - 500MHz (GPu) would change that don't you think?

Where did you see the kernel? I would love to be able to overclock

- using the Google Launcher, the launcher closes when you enter on a application, and reopen when you press the home key?
- Rotation is really really slow, and laggy?
- Poor GPU performance on soft apps (like PokerStars application)?

Its only me or is happening with you too?

- using the Google Launcher, the launcher closes when you enter on a application, and reopen when you press the home key?
- Rotation is really really slow, and laggy?

- Installed and disabled Nova. Hmm, not had the launcher close when opening an app and going back to launcher. Is there anything specific that makes this happen and does it force close and restart.
- Yup, rotation lags on some apps, not on Nova launcher though. Having all sorts of rotation issues as mentioned before with no volume orientation, volume panel reset, nav bars dimensions reset - looking at the changelog, some of this stuff might be fixed.
- No performance issues on games, however there's lag with Table Top Racing. It jitters after each race when I earn my gold and sound goes funny (not sure if that's a game issue though). What happens with yours, also you using default cpu/gpu settings?

Nice ROM, but the strange wifi problem is quite irritating.
Sometimes there is absolute no connection, wifi symbol is full with white lines (not orange) other phone and other tablet no connection problems. After a while connection is working fine, restart not allways help, turn off/on wifi is no solution
Is there a work around.

Yeh might be, also not enough customisation compared to Nova (even if you get the GEL xposed settings)
Hopefully next update should fix lag issues with rotation and gaming.

Just an idea, you could try out the following:

Settings > Developer options >
1. Change Window/Transition/Animator animations to .5x - might help ease any rotation lag (done it on mine)
2. Tick Force GPU rendering - again might help with lag issues, the gpu controls ui instead of cpu
3. Under "Apps" > Select runtime, use ART - might help with some games - will break Xposed though

Settings > Performance > CPU parameters > Governor > Change to "Interactive"
Might be more responsive and better performance with gaming. Some say changing to "Performance" is a good option too and doesn't hurt your battery life, not tested this one so not sure myself.

Other settings in the Performance area go over my head, im sure someone with technical knowledge on kernels would know what to tweak with to get the best out of there tab without sacrificing battery life.

Which version of Mahdi you using?

Does it disconnect or drop off after a while or is it something that doesn't work when you unlock device?

Wifi with white lines is normal, that's when it's connected and working, you'll see the up/down arrows on the wifi logo too which indicate it's working correctly.

Latest version, sometimes it drops while working on wifi, and it will working after some time. can't find a pattern
