Just wanted to post and say that this ROM is FANTASTIC. Owned my G-pad for 2 days before I became sick of LG's default interface/bloatware.

Rooted/TWRP/Mahdi rom install and all of my gripes are now gone. It now feels like my Nexus 4, just a giant version.

Now to decide on a case. Keep up the good work!

I updated to the latest Mahdi version from the 4/25 version a few days ago. Everything is good, so far, but it seems that the battery life is a little bit less than the older version. Has anybody else noticed this? Did anybody tweak anything to improve battery life after flashing this version?

Good battery life is one of the things that makes this a great rom!

Can someone please try and watch a downloaded (rather than streamed) tv program from bbc iplayer or stream hd with plex media player see if it works for them. thanks
I didn't have any iplayer content downloaded but streaming was fine. I had a local mp4 file which played fine, but plex was unwatchable. Really stuttering which wasn't an issue on the previous version.

Yes iPlayer steamed fine although looked lower res, downloads in iPlayer are normally better quality. So I'm thinking it's nothing to do with network but maybe hardware video decoding but only certain types. I've managed to play fine from dlna media servers direct with mxplayer.

Awesome ROM moose!! ;) :D
Soooo much customising I get lost haha.
I'm running a combination of this ROM and AIC Kernel (CM version) running great so far,
Can't comment on battery life just yet maybe a day or so...
anyone looking for the AIC kernel link

Takes you to an Aroma type installer ones flashed and its simple to follow :)
Thanks again Moose. Love this.

At this time I couldn't say because I haven't played with the kernel enough. The battery life seems great so far... can't comment on gameplay etc just yet. Will report back :)

I also would like to know this and what the Teek knows.

Also - Ck your PM's Liam.
Cal I sent you a message and sent and couldn't see it sent. Was peed of to say the least haha.
If you didn't get the message ill try and break it down so it's less typing:

Kernel benefits so far:
.Battery
.Temperature
.General UI

Reason for Mahdi
.Customisation
.A lot more stable then earlier realeses
.Same performance as CM11 (both same)

Kernel Installer
.Pick Base (Stock OR AOKP/CM)
.Then pick Base Android version 4.2.2 OR 4.4.4 (Related to dim boot issue I think)
I picked 4.4.4 because that is the ROM I flashed to :D

Hope the quick bulletpoints aren't a pain

I'm having a problem connection to a camera using OTG. On my Galaxy S3 phone, I can connect to the same camera and pull up the photos with no problem.

On the G Pad, I see notification that I've plugged in an SD card, but when I go to /storage/usb no files appear. Is there something else I need to do to get this to work?
