No worries, I didn't need help with this specific issue, but I run this ROM and was pleased to see you helping someone else. Figured that spreading the love would be beneficial to prompting others to follow in your footsteps

Cheers mate,
I'm far from a genius I will admit.
Anytime I can help someone in any way be it on here, or giving a homeless guy some money in the street.
I love helping others its gives me a good feeling haha.

:D

Hey mate, I've tried everything to get TWRP.
One on Xda under LG topic, and then this http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/213

So far no luck
Hey,

Did you try and download the mirror link I put up?

If you did all you got do bro is flash using this:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify&hl=en_GB

Keep in mind the free version only allows 3 daily flashes.

Open flashify choose the flash tab, and click flash Recovery Image.
Then click 'choose file' then navigate to the TWRP you downloaded (in download folder)
Click Yup! To flash (takes a second) flash successful. Asks you to reboot to said recovery.
Then reboots you in the recovery.

:)

EDIT: just tried downloading the TWRP build of my Dropbox and it download as an unknown file
I'm gonna check this out.
Be back in a minute.

EDIT EDIT: Right, I went into Flashify Apk and clicked Flash then Recovery Image instead of Zip file then the TWRP Recovery image was indeed recognised :D
So I will update my original post with what needs done, sorry about that.

Well, could you tell me which one, I'm sure I have V500 but it always says it Palman (V510)

Now I even tried Philz recovery. It also says it's Palman
If youre sure you have a v500 you should flash recovery via flashify
Else you cant flash anything belonging to v500 through recovery since your recovery makes sure it is a v510 build before flashing it

Ok so here it is, it was a pain in the $%$&"#.

First I installed TWRP 2.7.1 and it didn't work because the problem was this.
If you updated you LG Gpad over air then after installing any recovery software the device recognize V500 device as V510... which is LG's fault.

If you wanna read more about his this is it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/help/device-idd-palman-awifi-flash-rom-t2788065

Then I was thinking of using LG Mobile support tool to come back to original Rom, and then try again, but that was out of the question...
but if you want to know this here you go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590185

So what I did (most of it my friend helped me) is that when your LG is recognized as V510 or Palman (and you know you have V500), you need to edit updater-script file that is in Mahdi Rom... here:
mahdi-2.7-v500-20140805.zip\META-INF\com\google\android

Why you need to do that is because it's recognize V500 device as V510, so when you edit that line, it won't even check which device that is.

Now the TWRP still didn't worked, nor 2.7.1, nor 2.6.3

So I tried that with Philz, and I also edited Philz file (as I can remember) for recognition the device, It worked.

Now that I was on Philz recovery I installed edited Mahdi Rom, and everything works.

Hope you guys understand what I went through... :)

For your information, my modem is configured on WPA with security combination AES/CCMP or sometimes AES/TKIP (that's only two options available anyway). The channel of the wifi is channel 6. I don't know if this information helps.
I had the same problem but with Carbon Rom. Change your Modem to WPS then it should work. :good:

Sorry, I had the problem with WPS and have had to change the router to WPA2 (Carbon Rom).

Maybe this helps.
I don't have WPA2. Only have WPA (TKIP+AES) & WPA (AES/CCMP). Both doesn't work with recent build. Past builds until 0607 worked perfect. So I just stayed at the last Mooses' version.
