Great rom!
Cleaned flash 9/8 and got sound issue with an app called "Viaplay," however I think it is the app because no other app/video causes it. Gamma seems to be fixed aswell, or is it my 4.2.2 base with aic gamma fix which has fixed it?

I am still on Mahdi Rom version 2.5-v500-20140326 and everything is just awesome. is there any improvement in new releases that I should update? or should just stick with the one I have?
I think that camera could be resolved
There is no drivers for Intel Corporation Camera Sensor OV5693 in Cyan kernel. Exactly this module is installed in the problem devices, instead Samsung S5K4E5YX15-FGX2. Until Cyan Crew or someone else will add this device driver in the kernel source, the camera on our pads won't work. Good news, there is official sources from LGE. So it will be not big problem, and it's only a matter of time.<br/>

So far I have a rooted Gpad with TWRP installed but am yet to go down the alternative ROM route, why would I want to install this ROM, please convince me?

Ok, you have won me over I will have a look. How do I know if TWRP 2.7.0.1 that I have installed has SELINIX support?
It's fine, your good to go. If you get brightness issues that can be fixed.

is the boot image flashed together with the rom in twrp or does it need to be done separate, if so how is the procedure?
Yes, Boot Image and ROM are flashed together. Usually on a custom ROM, you will see a custom boot animation from the dev of the ROM. Its pretty cool
On stock tweaked ROMs the stock boot animation is used.
No drain at all on latest built.
Wakelock detector will help you
I've just installed Mahdi ROM and I'm wondering if there's a way to adjust gamma? I think I've read somewhere that it was possible to use the Faux Advanced color and Gamma on this device when using this ROM. Is that correct?
I used Slimkat with the AIC-kernel before this and the gamma was OK then, but maybe there was a kind of yellowish tint to the display. That part looks OK now, but I'm back with gamma around 2.3 - 2.4 and that makes dark areas far to dark when watching movies.

Just installed the rom using philz recovery,Till now everything looks ok,i found no bugs and gamma works well,no issues.

For me works with no issues. Stock galaxy s5.
No bugs for me, just a reboot upgrading a few apps from play store
Solved!. Installed Mahdi in my S2 too and now I have no problem connecting to a hotspot on my Lg G Pad
Love this rom really smooth, but it reboot really often..
Now I'm trying this update and I'll report here
