Thanks @Dovidhalevi and @xu3sno.
I installed SuperSU but still can not root. Any links root.
I really like this rom. Hopefully the final version will be coming soon.
Thanks
Maybe you are not able to get root because you don't have enough space.
I too hope this ROM reaches to its final version soon. But I'm not satisfied with what is done in it plus I don't get time to update it frequently. :'D
Thanks @xu3sno
double tap sleep activated but it does not work.

Sorry, you are limited to 8 thanks per day :)
As far as I know, Double tap to sleep works just fine. Double tap on the lock handle in lockscreen to do so

Tried to flash. My usual method: Highly trimmed ROM, no format of /system. No flash of gappslight since its items should remain in place this way.

1. Had only 1.3 meg on system. Unless the names have changed of 10 meg worth of items (in which case, my non-format would be at fault, easy enough to remedy), what gives? I should have 10-13meg as in the past! Size of ROM is not so much different! Are there 10+ meg of additional items somewhere, frameworks, etc.

2. It did not mount /sdcard to /storage/sdcard0! Anyone else have this problem.

I had run ICS with < 3 meg on system without ado so should work anyway.

Recovered for now. Any ideas?

Yep. The ROM size isn't much. It's the extra apps which take up the space.

In my case it mounted the SD card. But don't know if it mounted to /storage/sdcard0 or not.
But I didn't have any problems with the SD card

There is no "extras" on the ROM and that would not get flashed anyway.

Maybe 1.3 meg is not enough to allow the mount to take place. Have to find out what happened to the space or flash more normally.

For those who succeeded in getting Beta9 up: How much system space is free?
Not pre-formatting /system should not have done this! No real differences in the included files.
@Rar**** in playing with the boot img, trying, abandoning the TLS, might the system size have been changed accidentally? (10 meg, smell a rat).

@Any PlayStore

Flash this attachment, but uninstall SuperSU first. It works on Omni ROM.
You owe thanks to @rhar**** who provided this attachment.
and at first opportunity, go into its UI (from settings). It will give you the option to make a script to have root survive flashes. Do it. Now every boot from recovery will offer the option to fix root which one would so choose!

I got back 8 meg of it. Deskclock was moved to priv-apps so I had an extra on system/app. The rest of it was stuff formally of extras. Please remove from /system/app and place in extras once again. I do not see many of us using these things. Animated wallpapers should be available, however, but not from /system/app.

In my case it mounted the SD card. But don't know if it mounted to /storage/sdcard0 or not.
But I didn't have any problems with the SD card
sdcard is being mounted (once I have my system space back?) to storage/sdcard0, but only late in the "starting apps" phase. This seems to be a change, but as long as it works :).

EDIT: Had to remove seven big-dexed apps to give link2sd a bit of data space to do its magic. Got most all of the data space back, one reboot, got the rest. Painlessly restored most of the apps using Titaniium (wish I could automate this, supposed to be able to do this).

ROM seems quicker than Beta-8. Have not tested the Bluetooth yet, but previously had paired just fine, but I was not able to make a call. Advice to trimmers: remove everything from /system/app previously on extras. Did not need this stuff before, why now? Only larger item is the printspooler. If there be a need, maybe this can be installed as a user app. I have 9.1 meg on /system which is plenty (however, I keep no keyboard on /system).

I have created a script to trim the ROM. Hope it helps.
Just flash the the script after flashing the ROM.
I recommend the super_trim.zip
super_trim.zip and trim.zip can be found in attachment section of Downloads' post
@rhar****
Did you fix dalvik2cache? IMHO, it's one disadvantage of OMNI as I posted months ago. And the based ROM bit older KTU84P while CM11 RC11 already KTU84Q (Android 4.4.4_rc2).
Anyway, congrats for Beta9 : good: that you developed while preparing the exam.

OT
Focus on your lecture, bro. :) After all real life is the most important thing more than just p500, isn't? :)
End of OT

Thank you! :D
Well, I tried to fix it but wasn't successful. I also tried to implement the theme engine. Still, no luck.
I'll try get some other developers' help for these

Beta9 runs well, has very good battery life.

There is a problem, not new to beta9, with the phone dialer and contacts. Can get into a laggy, problematic state, necessitating hard reboot. Possible memory leaks since available memory is very low (answered or made call, opened contacts, no other apps). There seems to be no problem if no call was processed.

love to try this rom but found out that bluetooth is not working :(
Bluetooth is not required. We can share with each other over the internet.
I recommend you to try this rom. It's really good and a lot smoother
You can wait for the next version :)
I like most -> Battery

I really want too but i need bluetooth for my wireless headset..
I see your problem. I too wanted the Bluetooth to be working. But I don't know the problem. Logs just say "unable to ..."
I'll try to port CyanogenMod's Bluetooth ecosystem. A lot to do though.
Stay tuned!

I think bluetooth did work on earlier Omnis, do not know when it quit. As I said, on previous betas and also on beta9, I can toggle bluetooth, pair with the headset, but not receive or do calls from it.

Might check for differences, but why would CM's be any different? Never know. First betas lacked GPS and adding (really restoring) a few files fixed that (one of the reasons remove the format system from the updater-script!).

I have observed that it stopped working from 4.4.4 update.
And if you can turn it on and pair, then I think the problem is not in frameworks.
Thanks for the info. I'll change something else to make it work
