I'm posting the same question in two different threads...I think that makes me a bad person but some different folks hang out here, so...

question: do you have any problems connecting to the cellular network (4g, 3g, ...) after restoring a backup?

I am using official CWM 6.0.4.3 non-Touch and restored a CM11 backup from 2 weeks ago (which was working great when I backed up). after the restore completed, I was unable to access the cellular network (WiFi works, not cellular).

I've never experienced this before but everything works fine now that I wiped and flashed a fresh copy of CM.

is there a known issue restoring 4.4.x backups? if you have successfully restored backups without experiencing this problem, what recovery and version did you use?

thanks a bunch

Sometimes my phone won't connect to the mobile network after first booting when on AOSP ROMs. A reboot always fixed it for me though.

I may not have actually tried that, thanks :)

I was ticked off over some other issues at the time and didn't have the patience to properly trouble shoot the problem. I've never had an issue restoring a backup on any device so I was surprised by this and wanted to if I should change the version of my recovery.

@akellar

Today's 7/17 build the led options for custom apps are missing. The option is in rom control is there but the options are missing. Can you please find out what's going on?

Thanks

Lockscreen widgets?

Loving AOKP so far, very reliable. But is there a way to configure lockscreen widgets? I see nothing in ROM Control to indicate it. Am I missing something?

ETA: Aaaand, I found it. Forgot about KitKat's Settings->Security->Lockscreen widgets addition. Still loving this ROM.

I guess I spoke too soon. Minutes after the above post, I find out from my daughters that texting was not working. Sure enough, trying a variety of SMS apps, after a reboot or airplane mode toggle, I could send exactly one text. All following would fail.

So, back to 4.3. Sadly. Phone was much quicker with AOKP.

Seems like a common problem. I'll be back when it is sorted.

Again @ akellar this issue is still present in today's build. I tried contacting on here and PMing you. No answer....Are you not the maintainer anymore for AOKP for Note 2 i605?
