The latest update is buttery smooth who is keeping is up to date on the latest version of android if akellar isn't?
No device specific updates anymore. It's just aokp updates that are for the platform at this point.
Not been here for awhile but my mom has a note 2 i installed a custom jelly bean tw rom on and its grtting laggy and looking to install a new rom on her phone.
Do i need to do anything special or can i just update her recovery and flash this?

Had to comment to say that the 10/18 nightly build has been running perfectly so far for me. This ROM fixes the CM11 issue where some headsets won't produce sound when they are plugged in before you start an audio stream making it basically unusable if you use some car hands free devices. Battery life is also very good, 12 hours of light usage with GPS and everything enabled, sitting at 85% battery.
I was able to install this ROM coming from [ROM][I605VRUFND7][4.4.2]OFFICIAL STOCK ROOTED ODEX/DEODEX[6/13/2014]. I used CWM, did a factory reset then installed this ROM per the instructions in the OP. I also noticed increasing lag the longer I used any TW ROM on this device.

Does anyone have Google Wallet tap and pay (TAP) working? I can't seem to get it working with build.prop edits or anything and Wallet is supposed to work with AOSP Kitkat ROMs now out of the box.

No sure what theme you used but the battery always themed for me using aokp.
