screenshots!!

some screenshots.

For transparent statusbar, do as mike described for his rom.

Anyone who wants the transparent notification bar, you have to change ro.config.low_ram=true from build.prop as ro.config.low_ram=false
Note that it might increase RAM usage by the system.

Screenshot: hold "power + vol. down"

Ok the constant wake lock is still present in this ROM as you can see Oh and the keyboard layout is messed up in landscape. This is just for the info.

The location services was deactivated and I only had whatsapp as the user installed app.
Hi there,

I have an incredible battery drain caused by something called bq24185_watchdog_lock .
It keeps my phone in a constant awake state.
Didn't had any problems like that with older android versions and I don't know how to stop it .

Using recommended Kernel and installed as described in OP

Any suggestions?

Phone XPM

This might help with the constant wakelock problem:

FINAL UPDATE: Nov 23, 2013 - I flashed stock image for Android 4.4 and Play Services drain reappeared. The problem is, after some researching, that KitKat has "modes" for location settings. There are 3 modes: high precision, battery friendly and device only. The first two drain battery as hell, but the third one makes the Play Services drain completely gone. With this in mind, widgets and Google Now are still fully functional, just Near Places is not available as well as some apps that need location, because it will work with just the GPS. My battery has greatly increased after I made this change.

from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2385843

and from the same thread

Just a little advice for all of you on Android 4.4:

In Settings>Location>Mode select the one on the bottom, "Device Only". When I updated to Android 4.4, Google Play Services battery drain came again and it was around 20%.

Changing the mode to "Device Only", make the drain completely gone and increased my battery in around 20%.

Google Now will continue fully functional, as well as widgets. The only thing that I saw it was gone, was "Near Places" on Google Now and some apps that need location by mobile data have delay in locking position.

My phone still shows a constant state of being awake but the battery drain is gone

Oh I forgot to mention I turned off location sharing and my "hot-word" for google now is also turned off and still I got the battery drain. May need a bit more details and info on which all services still hog my device.

Hmmm...turning off those option is not enough...you have to disable some of the receiver in Google Play Services....there about 33 receiver inside Google Play Services and some of them can be turn off without giving any problem to any apps that depend on it....from 33 i have disable 7 of that receiver and doesn't give me any wakelock problem....

Hmmm...there a lot of app on the Playstore that has the ability to disable receiver on any apps....i have tested a lot of them but only a few apps that can do the job better than other....

1. Autorun Manager (Pro Key is needed for maximum use)
2. ROM Toolbox Pro (best app for root user)
3. System Cleanup (best free app for root user)
