...from the first,i mean boot up.;i too feel its little faster,i also cheked it disabling bootanimation.idk isit just me or else aswell sometime @restart i get [email protected] screen.i'v to restrt it.(do comment on it...if u too hav had gone thru this).
I once did some mod, and it caused a boot loop, so went into CWM and wiped Dalvik, and it booted OK. Other than that, its booted clean every time for me.

*Mx player sw dcoding crashes/many hw dcoded videos too get stuck.
Im liking VNC Beta more and more. Not sure, but the main two issues I have had were that between reboots, it forgets where I am up to in each movie. And, when it dose start a video I was previously watching (after last reboot) it shows the progress bar at zero, although the movie is half way in. REALLY not a bother, and it fixes when it hides and reshows the progress bar.

*for browsers...i prefer uc,it jst doesnt display lol!chrome moreorless works, hate its ui!operamini for me also is the only option.
I ctually downloaded Opera full today and used it for a few minutes, and it was pretty good, and also includes an option to cut down on network traffic as well (its called "off-road" mode).

*launcher issues i too face in both nova/holo.havnt tried others. Googles launcher is the sickest launcher iv ever seen, personlly speaking.
I had no issues with the launcher, only had to addthe halo confiug app from market, and I am not using the launchers in the ROM. I use lightening launcher (free on market). VERY VERY powerful, but a VERY steep learning curve.

Wallpaper just gets lost.a black screen covers my wall autoly all of a sudden.
I removed as many screensavers as possible from the ROM and run a purchased live wallpaper called "Celestial Bodies" and have had no problems with it.

*for keyboard ,aftr along researchs....,i ended up with smartkeyboard pro.do try :) in ur above wrds on latinime.apk 40'gb' :p
Yep, I mean 40MB (corrected in post) and its the std keyboard that comes with this ROM.

*massstorge mode: tried ur solution refer link but [email protected] xml edits...im doing sth wrong i badly know it.or sth wrng with my java.idk (mind uploading ur framework apk?kindly do )
I obviously was not clear enough. All I did was edit the build props. I am using the existing framework apk that came with the rom. Making the change to the build props got it working for me. However, I tried the Dark stalk kernel you posted a link to (with 1.8GHz OC) on which the USB stopped working, and then I restored the previous kernel and I still couldn't connect USB after that. I haven't tried in the last two nights to see if it still doesn't work. But to be clear, originally just changing the build props got it working for me.

*after each app install a popup msg. 'Internal storage : ..... ' sth. wrng with u as well?it shows xtrnl availbl space.
I use apps2sd with a 1GB EXT4 partition, so have plenty of room to install apps. Sometimes when I manually remove (ie delete) apps from the system/app location, I have to relink all my apps. But no issue for std install from market.

Hope the above helps

KitKat 4.4006 Xperia Ray ST18i

I have one problem with this rom, if i power off the phone, like when i go to sleep or so and its charged 100% and start up phone a few hours later, the charge is only 75% or sometimes only 80%, so i lost 20-25-30 % only by starting up the phone...further batterydrainage is actually good ....might always be better but for new roms like this its good....anybody have a clue what it might be....maybe it gets better with soon coming KITKAT 4.4.2...keep up the fantastic work......:)

Come on bro... cheer up.

There is always a tomorrow. Try to solve your problems & enjoy your life first and then continue these projects later on when you are free.

There is nothing to apologise... bro

Thats weird, I noticed a similar situation where my battery would loose 10% overnight when the phone was off. But, that was on a different ROM, not KitKat. I thought it was related to my now 2 year old battery dying a slow death. Last night (ie only once) I tested it again. My battery was on 70% when I turned it off last night, and when i turned it back on this morning it was still on 70%. I do think that last time I saw this (on a different rom), I started on 100% the night before. And that is about 8 hours after shutting down.

Just so that I am not missing something, but the latest available builds for KitKat are now named "cm-11.0-YYYYMMDD-LX-NIGHTLY-urushi.zip"? previously they had beanstalk in the filename.

That's not Beanstalk - "cm-11.0-YYYYMMDD-LX-NIGHTLY-urushi.zip" is another KitKat for Ray (LegacyXperia by mikeioannina).

@DiamondJohn
mind uploading just baseband of urs? :fingers-crossed: u have st18'a' ,isnt it?
any version would be appreciated :)
I have about 4 different FTF files for the ST18. They are between 260 and 386 MB each. Not surprisingly, the ST18a is the biggest...

ST18a_4.1.B.0.587_Sony.ftf
ST18i_4.0.2.A.0.62.ftf
st18i_4.0.4_4.1.b.0.587.ftf
ST18i_4.1.B.0.587.ftf

I am in the process of uploading the "ST18a_4.1.B.0.587_Sony.ftf" file to a file sharing site, but uploads aren't fast, so I will post the link later.

Or is there another one you would prefer from the above list? To get an ST18i to use the ST18a baseband, I simply go to flash the ST18a FTF and deselect everything except for the baseband.

Just checked, its at 12% uploaded.... woo-hoo it just hit 20%

Well, the full ftf has finished, and can be found at: http://www.filedropper.com/st18a41b0587sony but is 386MB

I checked which parts are used when I select only the baseband to flash, and created a new ftf, but have NO idea if it would work. Zipped up, this file is 10.3MB I uploaded this Frankenstein ftf of mine as a zip file, which you can download at: http://www.filedropper.com/st18a41b0587sonybasebandonly

Have fun, and I hope its (as in one of the above) what your looking for. And if I am not mistaken its baseband 77
