What are these bluetooth issues you speak of?
I've tried to enumerate what I've seen/experienced over in the CM thread here.

Basically, I drive 30-40 minutes each direction to work daily. About half the time I listen to music streamed via A2DP from my phone to my Car Head unit...

Bluetooth functionality is fairly important to me... do I use it every day... no, but I use it enough that if it's misbehaving, it'll drive me nuts.

A2DP is much improved... still experience a few pauses, but it's no where near what it was before... and the loud noise that would accompany the pauses seems to be completely gone. That's a significant improvement. (I can live with this...)

With the latest Feb 4th nightlie I'm having some issues.

First off, I cant seem to set any shortcuts to the homescreen.

I always put a shortcut to the XDA section for the ZL on my homescreen, but this, as well as the last CM11 nightlie will not populate shortcuts.

Also, I cannot delete anything from the home scree.

Pressing and holding an icon or widget does not bring up the "X" or trash can at the top of the screen.

So far those are the only 2 issues im having with the lastest build.

Hmm... the update script is looking for the delta file in the wrong location... also does this actually format the /system partition?

The build gots worse day by day.
With the latest one now chargemon icons are gone. When you charge your phone while its off you see just a black screen (where large battery icon should be).
None of the previous bugs were fixed. Navigation buttons are still on the lock screen.
I feel like the best builds wewre early Jan. Is this happening to all devices or is it just Odin support?

Lots of bugs have been fixed. The screen tearing issues has been resolved. According to some the Bluetooth streaming is fixed (I wouldn't know since I don't stream BT). And the last 5 builds or more have fixed the navigation buttons on the lock screen. I'm on today's Feb 9 build and so far so good for the most part.
Try a fresh factory reset install. Maybe it'll help.

ATRIXXIRTA, do you have Active Display enabled? Mine is, and it doesnt work properly (someties from 2nd or 3rd attempt or you even need to unlock it manually) and causes Notification button issues. WithActiveDisplay off buttons are ok.

I find active display drains my battery. And I never get to my phone in time to catch the notification so I don't use it.

And yap, Active Display is definitely the culprit for the lockscreen nav buttons!

Mine drains when Pocket Mode is set to Always, it constantly queries the proximity sensor. If set to Notifications only, it will work only when there's an "unread" notification. And ongoing notifications definitely should be disabled (otherwise it will work when your phone is connected to PC, you're listening to music, you have Tasker in foreground... anything that places permanent notification icon). You may try it this way, I found it very useful... Althrough if you have many notifications, it still won't be battery friendly.

By the way battery performance is really good, my compliments to developers for that.

Ya Tue last few nightlies were great for me too. I use allspark's cm11 kernel with double tap to wake feature, and its great. You can find it in the development thread. Only problem (if you can even call it a problem), is that it has CWM instead of TWRP. I switched over to the latest AOKP just to see what's new, and I'm using that kernel with great results as well. Plus double tap to wake is a feature that you can't live without once you've had it, lol.

was noticing today that if I turn the keypad on after I've dialed a number and it rings... (say to choose a menu tree option) if I put my phone up to my ear the screen will blank... but I was still "Cheek" dialing...
