Hmmm.. Weird..
I was also coming from stock ROM KRT16O.
If you download the rom using windows, try to open the zip file first. If the zip won't open, the file you are download are corrupt and I think you have to download it from another source. I always dont this before flashing a new rom.
After that, I usually delete or format data, system, cache and dalvik in TWRP. Dont't forget to delete cache and dalvik after your installation success then reboot..
That step always working find for me..

all I can suggest is download, use the latest recovery, and flash.. I have heard that people have better luck with my Google drive link, so try that

Well, I downloaded first time from Google Drive, it failed. All zip files I downloaded were able to be opened. I am using twrp 2.6.3.0. I think it's not so different with 2.6.3.1 but I'll check it again.

Btw, the flashing process was unable to run at all. The error message is in my post on earlier page. I'll test one more time and report back.

Me too, I could not do it with TWRP 2.6.3.0. But then it is ok with TWRP 2.6.3.1, may be you should try.

Well, updated my recovery to TWRP 2.6.3.1 and it finally managed to flash succesfully. But now it's giving me a new error message as below:

System UIDs Inconsistent
UIDs on the sytem are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable.
<button> I'm feeling lucky

Anyone having this error message?

EDIT: I tried to flash once again, but this time I did factory reset first before flashing, and now the message is gone :D

EDIT2: Trying to run antutu and quadrant for comparison with stock kitkat and it's giving better results :D

Antutu --> Stock 13206 vs 14028
Quadrant --> Stock 3280 vs 3878

Hoping official Cyanogen can give better result :) Thanks for this rom btw :D

Hi,

I have a question about sleep mode or whatever you want to call it. I am sure that you figured out that i am new to Android and the Desire (only had it for 4 days now).

I remember reading somewhere here but I cant find, someone asking if it were possible to bring the phone out of standby or sleep mode whatever you call it, other then pressing the power button.

I would like to know is there an app that allows this for "stock" Desires? I am not running any other types of ROMs. I am still too new to this all.

If anyone knows. I would appreciate it. Thanks for putting up with an Android & Desire Noob.

I downloaded from Media fire and also used gapps from slimkat/slim rom. Flashed fine and decided to change to Art. Booted with a few com.... error messages but if I click on them it doesn't appear anymore. I restored my apps from TB which included Xposed framework and some other modules. I had to remove the superuser setting for Xposed before I could enable it. Rebooted and it booted without the errors, accept that Cover lockscreen beta occasionally freezed my tilapia. After turning off Cover, the next app I used was Tapatalk. So far so good. Will report back if I encounter any other apps that will cause problem. Thanks.

Data Connection

Wondering if anyone is having data connection issues? The latest build installed without issue and I see the APN list is populated. All parts of the ROM works without issue. The device sees the AT&T network but whenever i switch WiFi off it refuses to get a data connection from Cell.

Is there something i am missing? It is the only thing holding this ROM back from being a daily driver for me at this point.

Thanks

I noticed that I'm not getting notifications from Hangout when Hangout isn't open. When I open Hangout then all the notifications suddenly arrive. Is anyone else having this issue?

building now, and oh my this week be quite a build! it's going to be 4.4.2, with encrypted SMS (whisper push), also screenshot glitch was merged.. but the battery percentage patch I was cherry picking has been abandoned.. but I am using Jorge's dock battery support patch which will give us battery percentage and also to have the battery icon on its side of that's ur sort of thing

that's unusual.. u can try wiping the keyboards data and see how that goes.. or install another keyboard and see if that fixes the pop up.. after that I do suggest a full wipe

alright guys, here's the post u have been waiting for! so I am going on holiday and I am leaving my computer to build and upload automagically, I'm going to be checking to see if the builds make it to Google Drive, and I'll be uploading to Dropbox and Ubuntu One as well since grive is almost worthless.. and then when I get back I will most likely start dev work for whatever phone I'm getting =D

This nightlie build of cyanogenmod 11 is of course unofficial! i may continue doing this but its going to be sporadic..

    android-cm.png

    as per usual:
    Code:
I am not responsible if you brick your tablet, for any bugs in the rom,
or if your cat decides to eat your tablet because its now full of awesome.

This build is very much identical with the official build, u can switch from official and my build without any fear of having to wipe your phone.. the only difference is that i have the build script change the cyanogenmod version to more reflect like a nightly

    Known Issues:
    GSM: None
    Wifi: None

    Instructions:
    Download rom
    Go to recovery
Wipe rom if coming from another rom, u dont have to wipe if ur coming from official kitkat stock rom
    Flash rom
    Flash gapps
    Boot into rom
    ???
    Profit!

the torrent file only contains the rom, it uses a webseed, code.google.com. u can use this if u ever have to pause to download or such.. u dont have to seed, i dont mind.. but others might like u to

To Flash, use CWM 6.0.4.3 or TWRP 2.6.3.0 which you have to manually flash

Current and older builds can be found here:
    MediaFire
    AndroidFileHost
    Google Drive
    Google Code

4.4 Gapps, courtesy of Paranoid Android:
    MediaFire
    AndroidFileHost

A special thanks goes to Paranoid Android for already having Gapps ready for us, and of course google for this wonderful code that is kitkat =]

To all people saying thanks: Your welcome!! ^_^

I have decided to discontinue building for cm11, but that doesn't mean end of the road.. whenever there is a brand new android version, I will be there. cya then!

nexus 7 wifi should be getting 4.4 today, so that means binaries are not to far behind.. now it isnt necessary for this rom but it really helps for later development.. especially for aosp

right now im trying to get a build of cyanogenmod 11 for tilapia out.. i keep running into build errors so it might be a while until one will come out, stay tuned!

UPDATE: looks like im having issues due to for some reason prebuilts/sdk doesnt contain api 19.. this is straight from googles servers so i cant imagine what the issue is.. i could just copy and paste it in there but this is kinda a red flag saying that stuff is missing.. so im redoing the whole repo.. now it might take a while since i had to limit my bandwidth because my wife is working currently

UPDATE 2: looks like the tag for prebuilts/sdk for 4.4 has some sort of issue, cyanogenmod just issued on theyre manifest an exact hash to the correct place! still downloading..

UPDATE 3: alright guys, looks like its all situated, but since they havent updated tilapia's device tree yet i am now stuck waiting for it to be updated.. =/
