I'm on the latest experimental version (1/27) and don't see Halo anywhere. No option to select in the notification bar.

That's weird. It should be in between both stock icons.

On another note I downloaded a new music player to see if Google play was the culprit and the same thing persists.

It happens at least once a day when I go to work.

Other than that battery life is great and no other problems.

Can anyone confirm that the dialer problem is in the nightly? I do not want to update if it does.
Yes, the 1/27 nightly for d2spr does have the dialer problem again. CyanFox said they will need to revert some commits to fix it in the next build. So for now, the EXPERIMENTAL build is probably our best build.

I keep hearing about the dialer issues and I don't see it. I'm running the newest for the d2spr.

In fact, only two issues I have are minor...

1. Can't run ART. Try to switch to it, it reboots but doesn't stick, it reverts to Dalvik.

2. Sometimes my ringtone goes to default and my custom ringtone says Unknown, making me have to reset it.

Other than that, this rom is flawless. No FCs for me or random reboots like everyone seems to have... Maybe I have a SUPER S3!

the dev himself said the 1/27 build had dialer issues on the Google+ page. also, ART sticks for me using the 1/15 experimental build.

SOOOOOO I was trying to flash this ROM on my buddies phone that is currently working on Wicked sensations rom mk3 4.3 and hes wanting 4.4 kit kat BUUTTT it constantly fails on flashing any of the ROM version available. I DOO have the lastest TWRP and it is rooted, the only thing that the phone isn't at 100% its at 63% does it exactly have to be at 100% or is there something else going on? (and I'm NOT dirty flashing either.

Any input would be great. Thanks

You have to have the latest version of clockworkmod to flash this. Use philz, or download it from rom manager. Only way.

it states we can use TWRP and that's what I've always been using. so It to make sense to me to HAVE TO USE CWM. cause its also not in the installation instructions to HAVE CWM. so I'm lost at this...

Take his advice or don't, but this won't install unless you're using the latest cwm or philz

keep in mind, every device is different. If you're sparring with the OP, ok... If you want a solution - use the Recovery Switcher app from playstore. Update recovery images from App Settings. Backup (nand) with TWRP (any version). Reboot and go Philz from the app. Reboot to recovery and install ROM and GApps. Takes 5 minutes. I preferred TWRP too, but this gets me what i want and need (Flashohol). :)

Does the new nightly fix the phone issue?

Also, clean install or is a dirty flash ok?

Thanks to the devs, and to anyone who answers!!

Love this rom.

Installed the 2/8 build last night. Running very smooth for me, and no noticeable dialer issues anymore. Would really love to see a change log or at least know what CM build it was based off of.

I have had success with both TWRP and CWM, I haven't tried Philz, but I have heard success.
+1 to this. I've never used anything other than TWRP and I don't have any issues flashing this ROM. Or any other ROM for that matter. Haven't ever installed CWM on this phone, have no idea what Philz is (meaning I sure haven't tried this).

Can tell you w/ 100% certainty, flashing this ROM with latest TWRP works flawlessly.
