been using this ROM for over a week as a daily driver. I have tried most of the KitKat Roms and this is the
Best 4.4.x ROM, Batt. life is EXCELLENT, No lags on screen rewrite, Fit and finish are excellent.

The newer facebooks are such ram hogs. Try playing with minfree settings w/kernel tuner or trickster mod. Or better yet don't use facebook. It's the real reason the "Idiocracy" prophecy is unfolding before our eyes. lol

I don't use Facebook, or do any Gaming on my old device, and I use the device for minor gaming, news etc. And of course phone calls. I have no major problems, with this ROM.

camera problem

i am unable to access the camera
when first i installed this rom i can use the camera and i restarted the rom after that whenever i open the cam i always get the message cant connect to camera
does any one else have this problem and does anyone know how to fix that

4 weeks using this ROM daily:

-Random and expontaneos reboots
-Phone app with lag
-Lag an reboots when opening many apps
-Some app not working properly

All of these bugs are known in Android 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 kitkat

12 days without updating from 201406062101...

Ok, facebook not the only ram hog. Just like prices for groceries @ the supermarket have gone up, so have the "minimal requirements" for apps. Particularly app updates if you haven't noticed file size.

I used Cool tool for a floating ram monitor. Those soft reboots usually occur when mine goes under 70ish Mb left.

To keep it above that--kinda like Keanu keeping that bus above 50mph-I use Kernel tuners oom setting (768 aggressive). It pretty much kills your other apps for you & when you go back to those apps they'll have to load again, BUT with my io read ahead set to 2560 & sio scheduler for that, those apps reopen quick enough. And that oom setting boost my rams "starting point" from 160ish to 245ish. Sometimes even over 300...cough... till my widgets & launcher come back. lol

Noticed some lag waiting for launcher, lock screen buttons to unfreeze etc... Seems my over clocking 245-1305 w/smartass v2 gov. solved that.

Everyone does different stuff with their phone. I am just trying to illustrate how I got mine working nice & fast.

We should all know about lame a$$ battery by now. Can't pull a rabbit outta my butt & help you there. Please don't blame me, or ANY developer for that. Blame htc.

Need to fix Vol. Down button first,I don't think it's related to recovery? Because I tried 20140606 Weekly of Mokee and it worked, But 20140618 ends up in bootloop.

Something should related with Rom itself or else i don't know,but for now i have to fix Power Down button first,and then might have chances to change recovery as you suggest.

Not sure if it helps, but if you do use exposed modules, gravity box(kk) has either a widget shortcut for a "power menu" & can also assign a long press "power menu" in nav bar. From that reboot recovery is an option to tap.

If not into xposed, play store has similar 3rd party reboot/power menu 1x1 widgets to add to home screen for buttonless reboots.

Thanks for the help, But i'm actually stuck at Bootanimation, I think my issue is related to boot.img and because of Volume down is broken i can't get into bootloader. Hopefully i will fix it in the weekend.

Yes, there is one more app call QuickReboot which also gives option to recovery or bootloader but since Vol. down is broken i'm stuck at middle of nowhere.:fingers-crossed:

If that's for me then i would love to tell you that,If you ever opened the device you'll surely notice that Volume rocker chip is not attached to the device,it's connected through 2 small strips, In my device lower ones break down by myself while opening it for the first time but some how i fixed that. So i'm quite sure that's the issue related Vol. down not working in my device. Other then that i have plenty of mobile repair shops available in locals,so i might hand them over the device to fix it.

Regarding bootloop,well once i gets everything fixed and gets into bootloader, i think i can solve the rest of it, Or else....you people are here. :good:

Twrp 2.7 is best. No issues..and u can flash ANYA ROM with that recovery

I went ahead and just used the Facebook in my es file explorer. no matter what,when I install the fb app it writes to the system..constantly crashing and ram hogging. lol. using fb inside es file explorer isn't too bad,but its better than installing that 90+ MB app...
ROM is running good.

hey why dont you use 4ext recovery control app to boot into recovery, bootloader and for power down options. there is no need of power button to get into these. but in bootloader atleast one volume button should be working which i think ur volume up is working in ur dhd. may b this will help
