I got a SOD today- possibly related to the screen wakeup issue. Tried to grab a log but I'd never done it before, and it didn't have any info from before the reboot.

EDIT: Yep, wasn't an SOD, just took the screen forever to finally wake. Easily a good 5 seconds.
This happened to me this morning... It took 10 seconds to wake up And screen was stucked upside down... Clearing dalvik cache fixed the problem! Lets see if it happens again!

No need to wipe caches. Simple reboot fixes it. It's not related to either cache or dalvik. But let us know if it comes back.
I think it might be related to a tablet revision or maybe something keeping the tablets of those who do not have the problem from deep sleep. All speculation at this time. @Demetris what gapps are you on. Maybe it is in the slim gapps package. I'll flash different gapps and test when I get a time.

The wake up bug seems to be related to the sensors not loading properly. I'd expect the rest of the system to be laggyer than usual as well.
Once we've found what's causing the sensors to sometimes fail, it should be easy enough to fix

Just flashed. Checking it out. Found a problem on previous version when deleting a download, couldn't see the "delete" button. Will check new version and report.
Edit...still there. When highlighting a file, the upper header is white and no buttons/icons are visible. Can delete because I know where the delete button is at. This is with minimal gapps, and TRDS turned on. Ok...it's TRDS causing the problem. Turned it off and looked. After highlighting a file to delete. top header is white, and the delete button/icon is black. The share icon is the same. Visible with TRDS off, and missing when turned on. Other than that ......great! as usual!

You realize is not slim fault if Gpad lcd panel sucks at black levels right?
I"ll see what i can do about it but this issue is SlimKat Rom irrelevant whatsoever

hahah! Good answer, Demetris! I didn't think of that. But you're right! I'm used to the amoled screen on my S4 and it's deep blacks. Ok, mark that little problem off the list as "solved".
Spotify, Vevo, Hulu and other apps all work fine. Games play great as usual.
Let's see this go OFFICIAL Demetris!

The new build doesn't exhibit the issue with waking up the screen so far.

Edit: everything seems to be working perfectly after playing some. Finally the perfect experience I was expecting from this tablet.

The screen wake issue is back here along with the rotation. All I did was install trickster and changed the governor to interactive, increased read ahead, and changed the rgb slightly. Also switched to Art. One of those things must have done it.

Edit: OK. Deleted trickster and rebooted. Screen already started taking longer to power on. I expect by the end of the day it will be 10sec again. The only other thing I have done is delete Google+ and Google music as I don't use them. It seems to be a combination of user and something not working right in the ROM/kernel, though I had the issue with another kernel too on this ROM.
