I've managed to get in to baidu account and I'm downloading it now..phewww..thoush the speed is very slow and I'll upload it at somewhere else with author's permission. :)

so Cheers!!!!
a baidu account is never required.
you should click on 普通下载 instead of 高速下载
as you guys can see, many large chinese companies like baidu makes people feel sick. they always misguide users, but for chinese people there's no other better choice. google is blocked and we can only log in through a proxy, otherwise i perfer google drive

It is working fine. If it not working, you can use the other one given in the thread by aveekbhat.

Is it smooth? It take few secs to respond to touch and very irritating for me. In-fact I'm unable to write it, I'm using command prompt (fastboot) to flash it but it it reboots to huawei recovery. When I try to boot the image, it boots fine.
fastboot flash recovery xxx.img - is the command I'm using.

Any thought, why It's not flashing despite the fact that it shows success message?

Make sure that the windows drivers are installed properly. power on the phone, connect it to PC and confirm that the device is connected by using the command, 'adb devices'. It will show the list of devices attached. Then use the command ' adb reboot bootloader'., to restart the device in fastboot mode. confirm that the device is connected by typing 'fastboot devices'.
Now flash the recovery by aveekbhat, as it is smooth and working perfectly.

I have the same problem. I have proper adb drivers and everything.
Have tried all command 'adb devices' 'adb reboot bootloader' fastboot devices'. Worked fine.
Also tired 'fastboot boot recovery.img' and successfully boot twrp and can do backup.

Finally 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img'. It show

  • target reported max download size of ********** bytes
    sending 'recovery' <*****KB> . . .
    OKAY [ 0.777s ]
    writing 'recovery' . . .
    OKAY [ 0.950s ]
    finished. total time: 1.728s

Anyhow, when reboot into recovery, it only go into huawei recovery.
please advise how to solve??
Thanks for reading.

Have you unlocked the bootloader before doing the above steps? If not, get the unlock code from Huawei and unlock the bootloader first.

Yes, I have. I got the code from huawei and did the unlock procedure according to huawei website.
When boot into bootloader, it shows 'unlocked'.
Is it possible that bootloader is not properly unlocked even though it shows 'unlocked'?

I don't think that there will be a situation like not properly unlocked.
Do one thing. Boot into twrp recovery from fastboot, then take a backup and flash superuser. Reboot the phone. Download flashify from play store and try to flash the twrp image. Flashify can flash recovery image from android, without connecting the phone to computer. Screenshots attached.

Thanks. But still no luck.
My current recovery is shown as twrp in Flashify. But only Huawei recovery shows up when reboot recovery.
I still can boot twrp from fastboot and use it. It's smooth. It irks me why it just can't flash twrp.
