Well I did it again today ...
so I had previously tried the build from early March and changed back to 2/2 because I had issues with the network and a bunch of stuff not working.
I tried today to install the 3/25 build and went with the 39A bootstack... well and here it started ... after having some issues I finally got the bootstack insalled and got also the rom and gapps installed.
However when I get the rom up it does not find any Verizon network, I can receive and make phone calls but this is all.

Any chance I could get some help here? I think it has something to do with the rooting method. i also tried to install a different version of a LP rom but it always fails with a message about "error executing updater binary in zip"

I had a backup of my 2/2 version but since I installed 39A, it seems like nothing else is working anymore and I went through a complete wipe of my phone...I always have to adb push the files to the phone.

Not sure why you're having issues, its pretty strait forward.

Flash the 39a bootstack
Reboot out of the recovery and back in.
Clean flash the ROM, and you're done.

Since you're on the 39a bootstack the only ROMs you'll be able to flash aside from this, is jpcs cm12, or any of the other stock 5.0 ROMs.

To go back to an older version of this, or any ROM that uses loki., you need to flash the 26a bootstack, with the 12b bootloader

Yep, that is what I did and all I get is the ! next to the network indicator ... I have downloaded all the files at least twice and still no luck... I'm using the file xdabbeb_vs98039a_bootstack to load the 39A bootstack.
When I try to go back to 26A I use the file from xdabbeb ... xdabbeb_vs98026a_bootstack.zip whcih is the one using the 12B bootloader... as far as I know.
I was trying to load the update-XenonHD-03-05-15-signed-vs980 with the 26A, whcih I thought should work, but i get that same execution Updater error when trying...
Am I stuck in some weird 39A universe?
I think I will try to go back even further, as it seems ROM were running great for me with 12B stack and everythign after that wasn't working right. But I don't know how yet ... if I can't even get back to 26A...

Actually maybe that might help... when I try to go back to a 26A bootstack and load XenonHD rom, it says
Flashing SuperSU...
assert failed: run_program("/system/bin/loki.sh") ==0
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/update-XenonHD-03-05-15-signed-vs980.zip'

---------- Post added at 06:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:32 AM ----------

When I continue to install the XenonHD rom and ignoring the error, the rom does boot up but I get the same issue with the network, no internet via cell service...
I will now hunt for even older bootstacks and see if I can get a February build working again...

I found all the 12B bootstack, modems and the build from 2/2 ... but now my phone reports, that it can't find a sim card ... I used the gapps from 3/18, could this be the issue? I wouldn't think so.
I will go back and see if I can start the 2/2 ROM without gapps ... but so far it seems I don't get data service back on my phone.

Is it possible that my SIM card went bad and causes all these issues?

Looks like I'm not getting this back to a working phone... next I try to see if I get it reverted to stock again...

So I don't know if there are any settings I have to pay attention to, but in Settings / About / Status it looks like the Mobile Network State reports Disconnected.

I went all the way back restoring the VS98011A_01.tot image with the LGFlashTool and after rebooting the phone, I still have a disconnected Mobile Network State.
What else can I do at this point...
- return it to Verizon? (I do have the insurance from them)
- Try to get a new sim card?
Is the phone now back to Stock... as it came out of the box?

Try flashing your efs backup
I just was starting to read into this ... since I wiped the complete previous backups and all... I do not have any backup anymore... I'm currently back to unrooted, as stock as they come... with just a 4.2.2 (the 11 version).

Any advice on getting the efs backup on the phone in that stage? I thought the stock tot would take care of everything...

Trying to talk to Verizon to see if something on their end is preventing the phone from getting into mobile data...

If you never made a back up, or wiped it, there is no way to restore it. That's why its imperative to always have a back up, incase your iemi gets screwed up.

Check your folders there should be a back up from when/if you used ioroot to root your device.

Less you wiped internal.

Well it is gone... I had a TWRP backup of my 2/2 rom and all and after I ran into issues with the 39A build I attempted to restore the 2/2 build via TWRP but that didn't work anymore either...
A similar situation I encountered after I tried the rom before 3/25 and I had issues all over the place with bootstack 26A ... a simple restore got me back to working condition on the 2/2 build, in that case however I restored the ROM from the zip files and not the TWRP backup ... but this time around I really dead.

It is weird that not even the Flash to stock brought the phone back ... I read somewhere that things can get screwed up within Verizon...

by the way i did check already with verizon and the IMEI my phone has is also registered on my verizon account.

Well if you don't have a efs folder then I'd say you didn't use ioroot to root it, or deleted it.

And yeah the iemi will be connected to it, but you can't put it back on the phone if its gone I don't think.

You could always try using the lg flash tool to reinstall compete stock as a last ditch effort.

LGFlashTool ... yep that is what I did ... but it is the same...

OKAY :p I don't know what just happened, but in the attempt to do a screen shot I pushed the power and Vol Down button and a dialog came up which caused the phone to reboot ... and now I have 4G connection ... what the hell...
I will see how everything works and might start rooting again...

safe to say that this rom support is being dropped for the new one that was just posted up?

Amit posted that the guy making CR droid is quitting it. So yeah this is the last build less someone else picks it up.

Make a backup of your efs this time. If you have data issues or it shows no iemi after flashing a ROM, flash the zip you get from this.

Can never be too safe. I have a copy on my phone, one in my email, and one on my PC at my house.

Flashing radios and stuff is what jacks it up

Well I'm back to rooted and I used the iroot instructions ... efs has been backed up and goes onto the dropbox as well...
I will try to go directly from this stock build to 3/25 ... lets see how that works. Thanks for being with me throught this rough time... :)
