Not sure this is the correct place to ask this, but since I am using this ROM at the moment, I am going to ask it here. Although I am still on the version from 3-4-15 because it is the best ROM I have ever used in terms of performance and stability and I have yet to read what benefit I would get from the 39A bootstack to make it worth switching to a ROM that uses it.

My Verizon contract runs out in another month and in an effort to save some money, I was considering switching to T-Mobile or AT&T because both have good coverage in my area, would reduce my bill by about $30 a month and my G2 would work on their network so I wouldn't have to change phones. Problem is, I don't know what that means for using this ROM. Was this ROM designed to work on or communicate only with Verizon's network? Would changing carriers mean I would be forced to change to a ROM designed for AT&T or T-Mobile? And what does that mean for trying out future ROMs. Would I still come to the Verizon forum to get compatible ROMs because they are the ones made for the VS980?

I guess what I am asking is if anyone has ever used their VS980 on another carriers network and what problems or drawbacks have you had?

Im a international gsm user for vs980. All the new verizon phone are factory unlocked for gsm usage. So u shud be able to use tmo sim. All the roms irrespective of stock or aosp are working for gsm user without any need for change.

What amit said and yes you will need to use roms and all other software made for the vs980. Your sim doesn't change anything in the firmware just how your phone interprets signal. Just pop in your sim and you should be ready to go. You may meed to change your apn configuration to match T-MOBILE so you can use data on some toms but on others it's automagic.

Thanks guys for the info. The guy at the AT&T store tried to steer me away from using my old phone. He said that some people have reported issues when bringing a Verizon phone to their network. I don't know whether to trust him or whether I think he's trying to sell me a new phone when mine would work just fine.

I use vs980 on attnn network....no lte due to the 900/1800 mhz issue but I tried this Rom and it's killed my sound....no blame. Just need a fix wiped all incl internal and 3 diff roms and bootstack nothing. it's making the phone really unusable with freezing....suggestions?

Time Changing to UTC after waking up from sleep

Hello all,

I'm starting to notice that my time on my phone is defaulting to UTC when it wakes up from sleep. I've rebooted the device and it will be OK for a little while, but then it starts acting up a while. I've toggled the "Automatic time zone" setting, however does not have any effect. Any suggestions anyone can offer would be appreciated! :)

I forgot to mention, once the device is woken up from sleep, it will correct itself (usually a minute or so) when it calls out to the network time server. But If I put the device to sleep and wake it up again, it is back to UTC time.

It's going to be difficult to get any accurate answers as this rom is no longer maintained. The creater of crDroid is no longer updating or building so our device maintainer has put out new roms such as Euphoria and Temasek. Sorry man. There may be a couple people still using this though. Just an f.y.i. in case you were unaware.

If anyone gets an error on the ROM install possibly referring to loki. It's most likely your bootstack try installing 12B instead of 39A that solved it for me.

I have been bouncing between euphoria and pac rom.. euphoria has no gps for me - even when I restore an old efs and sensors backup from a good rom. pac rom is killing the battery. I am going to reinstall pac rom with the latest banks gapps to see if that helps and work on the wakelocks. Also considering going back to mahdi 4.4.4 :)

I'm on the AOD build. Right now I'm getting some random reboots but other than that, it's flawless. Zero wakelock issues. It's not CM based so you won't see the issues that plague every ROM.

Hi guys,

First off, I've been using crDroid on my VS980 for over a year now, and its one of the most stable ROMs I've used thus far (the only other ROM I've used cyanogenmod's lollipop release :p). To the team who made this ROM possible, muchas gracias! But now, I've run into a small problem:
I've accidentally deleted the app drawer icon from my homescreen smh :( And I've read that all that needs to be done is add the app drawer icon from some list. How do I do that?

I use nova and if that's done all you need to do is long press the home screen and go to widgits. There's one for app drawer

Can I be on the actual 39A update or do I have to be on something like 26A with the 39A bootstack?
