I switch with Chroma and Terminus and have also flashed Rayglobe ... All and each gooood AOSP/Stock roms .... ? ?
Is the rom still in use? Are folks still enjoying it, asking questions, etc? Any accusations of kanging? Has the dev indicated he is done?
It's a shame we can't just leave a grown man's thread open for him, for whenever he might return, don't you think?
You going for the first banning of the thread? He owes you nothing.
Even if he did come check in with [snip] users like you, what exactly would he say? Last time he essentially said "Sorry I've been gone for a while, I've been really busy, and will try to get a new version posted when I can." If that's the most recent thing he's said, why would you assume he has anything more than that to report right now? I take a lack of news to mean he's STILL probably busy, and would probably STILL like to work on this when he can. You don't have to wait here impatiently [snip]. Lots of other stuff to read and talk about on XDA.
Now this is a terrific sentiment...I honestly hadn't thought of that for a while, since I'm usually checking this entire, hot mess of a dev section...some of these roms have 100 posts per day, which in and of itself is just ridiculous.A fair point. And for what it's worth, I'm successful in holding my tongue about 80-90% of the time. I edited the post you quoted in an effort to make it more constructive and less aggressive. You really would've hated it before!
I do think that some of this obviously needs to be said though. Maybe not by me, but people clearly need to be reminded of both the forum rules, and the common etiquette that's expected here. We see the same thing over and over otherwise, and it's not just unfair to the dev, it's also unfair to everyone who is subscribed to this thread and patiently waiting, getting notified of updates that turn out to be from another complainer. The patient ones can all unsubscribe, but should they have to?
