Would my simcard work if I flashed this on a LS980? I just unlocked it's simlock on stock Android, wouldn't like to loose it.

Guys i need help. I wanted to factory reset my rooted cyanogenmod 12 running G2 and it simply erased my root and TWRP recovery (it didn't erase any other files).
Then I wanted to root the phone again so I followed this tutorial: http://highonandroid.com/android-smartphones/how-to-root-lg-g-flex-2-g2-g3-on-lollipop/ and it all went well until the part where I reboot the device after download mode, it went up to the cyanogenmod logo and got stuck. It's in a bootloop now and I don't have twrp and no root (I checked if it's rooted through adb and it says su: not found so it isn't rooted right now). If I was rooted then I would know what to do >.> any help? it's urgent

I can get into download mode and ive managed to force reboot into recovery through adb but for some reason, adb now doesnt recognize the device

Edit: ive managed to flash kitkat 4.4.2 stock rom and format the device like i wanted, was a pain in the ass cause the process kept failing during download mode but after 5-6 tries it completed (each time it failed on a higher percentage).

Installed lp bootloader and now is working ok. Only issue is sometimes I cannot dt2w...
I saw early in the installation (before installing gapps), a menu that was black with the icons ordered alphabetically (with letters), that dissapped after and came the classic white icon menu also ordered alphabetically but with no letters.. Is there a way to recover this black menu? Thanks!

So if I'm still on cm12.0 what do I need to do to update to the cm12.1? Do I need a different gapps? If not then I'm doing something else wrong cause when I tried just to flash on top of 12.0 , got stuck in bootloop.

I really hate to ask this, but everything seems to be about dead in terms of Development for the G2: Im stock unrooted on 5.0.2, I hate it. I can't find any tutorials to go from Lollipop to this, CM12. I should have never gone back to stock in the first place. Is it possible to go from stock 5.0 to CM12?
Flame on.

Get root, then I think auto rec will get twrp on it. Not sure what's needed from there. If you can tot back to kitkat its IO root and auto rec and that uses loki so the cm builds work

Use DP ROOT v 2.0 to root your device, then go Here and install autorec for your device model, it will flash twrp. Flash whatever you want from there.

FWIW, I used the Root Tool kit and adb to gain root. Lots of driver rabbit holes with windows 10 and getting adb to see phone. Ended up cleaning all lg and android drivers using a utility, then going direct to LG's support site and grabbing their USB install driver and adb worked fine. Autorec also worked perfectly for TWRP install, something that never worked on my G2 prior to 5.0 for whatever reason.. Anyway, got Variant up and running and my phone doesn't suck anymore... really really nice ROM. Thanks for the responses, thanks to the Devs.

    FAQ:

Why does it say that I am resources are busy or in use?

I've unmounted (and tried mounting) /system and /data
Recovery says this because the script tells it to mount system and data even though they get mounted automatically. Therefore when it tries to mount it and it is already mounted, it gives you that warning. Its NOT an error. Just let it finish and it finishes successfully, then you should be all set.

How would I go about rooting the rom in its current state?
    1. Download the SuperSu Beta from here: http://download.chainfire.eu/627/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.25.zip
STEP FOR THOSE WITHOUT SDCARD ACCESS IN ROM:
    2. Boot into recovery and adb push the zip
      --------------------------------------------------------------
    3. Boot into recovery and flash
    4. Reboot and profit! :D

Where is the ROM for F320K

Not built yet as it also has no trees even supported by CM yet. You are going to have to wait.

NFC has a constant FC. How to fix?

    1. Boot into recoveru
    2. click mount
    3. mount system
    4. click file manager
    5. navigate to system/app/Nfc
    6. click select current folder
    7. delete
    8. boot and profit

Will add more as I see them come up!

All builds starting 11/19 will have Documents crash fixed. Video is fine as well. DT2W/S are still being worked on. CM team's uploading changes so we can use the official hooks (I personally am using a dirty hack with an init.d script but oh well). VZW is fixed, but there is still that Roaming bug. We're using a hack to get it to work right while we wait for CM team to push the "official" fix for this problem. Also, yes I know about NFC force closing on the LS980. Working on a fix. But I'm also working on rewriting the kernel for the future (not just for CM, but for other ROMs as well), so you'll have to bear with me. And for anyone who think I don't read the posts, yes I do. Almost every single one of them. I just don't always have time to respond.
